Seriously. I laughed when I read that. Of course the Hellcat is going to get more attention. It has a MUCH flashier paint job and ZL1 has been out for a few years now, of course the the Hellcat is going to get more attention. Especially from the "general public."

And if the queen had balls she'd be king. We are stuck with our 580 stock, but I honestly wouldn't trade my car in for a Shelby or the Challenger. A C7 is another story though. There will always be someone faster in a straight line. Give me a car that can do it all. I was tempted by the Shelby, but the ZL1 just felt better to me.

Unless you track your car (at which point the ZL1 is better than the higher hp cars), anyone that does 90mph+ on the highways or streets is an idiot (not directed at anyone!). So I think the poster means that it is very hard to truly use 580hp on the street, much less 662 or 707.

So if I am reading that correctly, a supercharged ZL1 has the same numbers as my SS? I am still NA with a non aggressive cam.

This quote from the Motor Trend comparison test article sums it up for me: "Testing director Kim Reynolds summed up the differences in personalities between the Camaro and Challenger best. After lapping the Hellcat as well as a Camaro 1LE that happened to be at the track, he pointed to the Camaro and said it felt like it was designed by McLaren or Red Bull's Formula 1 teams. The Hellcat, on the other hand, "feels like it was developed by [Hot Rod's] Freiburger and Finnegan.""

If I wanted to get 9s in the quarter I'd soup up a Chevy Chevette and destroy a Hellcat. Any goofball can build a dragster. Now go build a 7:41 Nurburgring car. Not so much.

Yes, I definitely was referring to the track! I am sure you have had those same "idiots", blow by you while cruising down the highway trying to prove their car is faster?

Yep but ZL1 has more torque.

Yeah, my grandfather helped build the Hellcats at Grumman and then went off to fight in the European campaign, landing on Omaha beach at 35 years old! Man, that generation was unbelievable. Saddens me when I see us turning over terrorists for an AWOL soldier.

How about withholding judgment until we hear what that "AWOL" soldier has to say.

Right, but don't forget your car is modded and the ZL1 is stock. Your car is modded and with a dyno tune. A dyno tune and mod tune is very and highly effective if done correctly.
The ZL1 may have a "conservative" tune from the factory as well. Not sure what the boost level is, stock, and what the tune is for.

Seriously?
Why don't you ask the mothers of the fallen soldiers who went after him to withhold their judgement.
