JDP Dyno Day

Lots of hot cars at Jordan's place today. Had my first dyno run(s) and I think I beat SSOOCH by .66 HP. Jordan knows what he's doing--those dyno sheets are just telling me I've got to spend more money to get more power.

Here's my dyno sheet from today : Best HP 411.66 (run 3) best torque 398.91 (run 2). Mods are Vmax TB, Kooks 1 7/8" headers, Magnaflow 3" catback and Airaid CAI.

My 5th. Good numbers. Amazing how your car and sooch's car both did 411rwhp and have the same modes. Those cars are consistent.

I've found Discount Tire will usually beat or match most prices out there, including TireRack.com's...

Supersonic? Let me know if you need your Car done. The fall time will fill up fast. Folks want to get their rides corrected and sealed before they tuck them away for hibernation.

If I were sure I was going to stay NA I'd do the 427 for sure--there's no substitute for cubic inches--but I keep thinking a Whipple is in my future (distant future unfortunately).

Are the Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires better then the Pirelli PZero tires we have on out car? Or a the Pirelli's pretty much top of the line for an all season tire?

The p zero's are performance summer tires..... I was look at getting the DWS tires for my winters but instead got performance winter tires..... every tire place said the DWS are the top all season but if you are looking at it for winter. Winter tires will still be better

They will starting with the ZL1.

I've got the Conti DWS on my car--315's on the rear. Better treadwear than the Zeroes, but less traction. In fact, SSOOCH, I was wondering about the torque difference between our 2 cars, and if my tire and wheel width had any effect on torque, or if perhaps I had a little tire slippage on the dyno drums because the DWS's aren't as sticky as the Zeroes. Approx 8-10 ft lbs difference may be within the tolerance of the dyno, but the wheels and tires are the only difference between our cars. Hmmm...

I think your tires might be taller than the OEM set up and they are wider which would account for some of the difference. There wasn't any slippage on the dyno but every engine/car is a little different.
