When I had my 2011, I felt the biggest difference with the Vararam but the fit wasn't great and I didn't like the big gaping hole it left where the stock box used to sit. Now I will say this as a disclaimer, I was one of the very first people to have the Vararam for the V6 crowd. They have gone through a few revisions since then. I sent the Vararam back and then bought a Roto-Fab intake. I really liked it (I still have it and kind of want to see if Roto-Fab will send me every thing I need to change it over to the V8). The fit and finish was awesome. Now I have the CAI, Inc. intake and when I first put it on I could tell a difference. Better mileage and a boost in performance. I have since then coupled that with a VMax Ported TB and the ADM race scoop and I am thoroughly impressed with the overall feel of the car. Very quick throttle response, much like my V6 was. I am almost back to the same spot I was with it. (Just 100+ more horses under the hood) Anyway, it is my understanding that with the V8 intakes they are all within 5 hp, so it is really just a matter of personal preference in appearance.

I have a CAI intake and am happy with it. Looks good and can hear the difference. Does it have more HP? I sure it does but how much who knows. I figured I wouldn't have to do the tune yet with a CAI and you can't beat the way it looks.

Wow...it looks like the CAI is the winner here with the ADM/JRE scoop and possible tune. I may have to go that route with the washer bottle relocate. I do like the black look, white or blue would be nice for my car. A lot of money and wife may not need to know

Well....She is young and we have young kids so she doesn't always take to OT. We have separate bank accounts with separate institutions so really no way for her to truly know . I like the idea of a free tune from JRE but not sure how it works, so I asked him on another thread. I am enjoying life right now in TX, working from a hotel and looking at Camaro stuff!

Troy- you cant go rong with the CAI. Id recommend the top/side relocation washer kit vs the lower type for max performance. In your case I'd get the bottom side for best engine bay cosmetics.

Tim
What is wrong with the location of the Apex washer relocation kit? It is plenty out of the way for air flow.

A new member here.

Just curious if anyone would be interested in few meet/greet, cruises around central ia?

Personally I own a couple of Fords but like all muscle/pony cars. I like the new 2014 white z/28 I saw on the Internet today.

I think it would be fun to get together with all American muscle cars. Anything like that around?

Any interest?

I just got off the phone with the wife telling her about the Z/28, what it was and is now. She says " I suppose you want one of those now" I think I shocked her when I said no! Because at the end of the conversation she said once the 2010 is paid off in 2 years she said it was fine if I ordered something new!!!!! She asked why I didn't want a Z/28. I told her I do want one but could not justify owning a race car that woundn't see constant weekend action. I have a feeling alot of people are going to jump on that thing and not realize what it really is and will be trading it off when there butt is hurting and sweating on that long road trip that they thought was going to be fun. I still can't get over what a beast that thing is going to be. Please let Hertz or Avis buy one!!!!!

I like that, I haven't seen that on the websites. Where did you get it? (Apex motorsports would be an assumption , may have looked over it)?

Jason - You have a ADM scoop as well, correct?

Any one in Des moines, I just checked out a train on the Des Moines line up. It was a Special enforcement train. They run it once in awhile in DSM to catch people running the gates at crossings. It has the cops on board.
