Just t update people. ACS is now making various kits to put the heat extractor on the 10-13 hoods for both SS and V6 models:

http://www.acscomposite.com/project/...ategory=163626

They have also have an option for just the water tray. For an extra $25 you can purchase the templates with the water tray kit. Nice option for guys who have the heat extractor already.

I ordered the water tray with templates and will post again once I install it.

I feel that if I do this with the vararam intake the vent won't see as much air flow since some of the vent will be blocked. Am I right on this or does the vent sit back enough to not have the intake block air flow?

The purpose of the vent is to extract heat out from the motor. While the Vararam has its ducts for airflow in front of the radiator, there is air coming into the motor from the grill area itself which will make its way around that VR duct as well as over to push air out the top. That's what it's all about. I have a radiator cover in that same area and I see the heat waves pouring out.

Alright cool so I guess air will make its way out of the vent while driving to reduce lift. Just worried airflow out of the vent would be hindered or not as great due to the vararam but I guess there isn't much room between the engine and radiator with any style intake.

I've lit a fuse or flare and placed in front of the car with a fan going to see where the smoke exits. I have it coming out the hood vent as well as my 3d Carbon side fender vents. There's enough air coming thru to move it up and out I would say.

I'm curious how much air flow will happen with the water tray in place

I would guess quite a bit Less. Even though you will see the heat coming out as reported by other on here. But to me it is Very restrictive, that is why it is removable for track use as designed by GM.

Snap??? No,there is a thin white plastic circle with a star burst shape cut out of it that comes with the toilet bolts. The bolts won't wiggle and they shouldn't turn when you're tightening them. Get Stainless Nyloc bolts and wing nuts as well.

I think those are the wrong bolts, they should have a oblong head on them and not round. I think that you have the toilet seat bolts and not the ones that mount the toilet to the floor flange.

Ahhh I see, thanks Eddie, I seen those white pieces you talked about.

In regards to the Nyloc bolts, is that a brand name or just a specific type of bolt? Also, so i get the nyloc bolts and wing nuts for all of the screws or just for screws for the removal of the drip tray when hot?
