Did you just call your team fools? Or did the tittle of this thread confirm that? Good night.

Time to get back on topic!
$75,000 for a Camaro??? This is not like "any" Camaro we've ever seen. It is wayyyy over the top for a Camaro. CCB brakes, really? Hand built 427, really? Dry sump, really? Real Aero, really? DSSV Shocks, really? And on and on. Hence the price. It's much much more than any Camaro before it.

I think Novie needs to take his 1LE and build it with the LS7 and all needed accessories then take it to the EPA and get it certified to sell in all 50 states. Then see if he can make money selling them for less than $60k.

You're not the only one who wishes that GM had made the 1LE with the LS7. You're butthurt about the Z/28. Nothing can be done about it, now get over it and move on.

OK - perhaps this will help you to get where we're coming from. You can pull the LS3 out of your Camaro - and you can 'drop' the LS7 in......... It will sit there and it will not run - because there are not electronics to make it run. There is much more to pulling an engine (today) and putting another in - it's no longer 'plug and play' -- the COSTS to do the software and hardware changes are substantial - both in terms of personnel costs and that of tooling. Good example: getting proper 'throttle tip-in' costs a fortune alone - and requires thousands of hours of testing - I hope that makes more sense to you.
