Apparently, you are paying for the LS7 and the LS3.

I don't recall anyone mentioning the dry sump system, just throwing that out there. TL;DR
Also.....

LS7 crate engine does not include:

injector wiring harness
dry sump oil lines
dry sump tank
engine beauty cover
engine processor
air filter/air box
accessories or accessory drive

More parts that would have to be validated!

Time to get back on topic!

$75,000 for a Camaro??? This is not like "any" Camaro we've ever seen. It is wayyyy over the top for a Camaro. CCB brakes, really? Hand built 427, really? Dry sump, really? Real Aero, really? DSSV Shocks, really? And on and on. Hence the price. It's much much more than any Camaro before it.

pm sent...and a "go forth and multiply" response.

Since I'm an unemployed doctor, with no patience, you must be an unemployed school teacher...with absolutely NO CLASS.

Goodnight Dick, indeed...

Those of us who have actually built track cars with our own hands need no explanation. Those who have not will never understand. Best to wish some people the best of luck and encourage them to seek greener pastures

I think Novie needs to take his 1LE and build it with the LS7 and all needed accessories then take it to the EPA and get it certified to sell in all 50 states. Then see if he can make money selling them for less than $60k.

The only fool here is you, apparently you haven't been involved on this forum long enough to understand all the workings into developing a car. You're stuck with this conspiracy theory that GM is trying to screw you and everyone else over. You have failed to read over and over all the pertinent information to make a wise decision, yet you insist on being stubborn and stuck on YOUR perspective.

You're not the only one who wishes that GM had made the 1LE with the LS7. You're butthurt about the Z/28. Nothing can be done about it, now get over it and move on.

I still don't get it .
I'm sorry - didn't mean to talk down to you - it was meant at a few people who continually ignore the points made by Number 3 and "Lowdown" -- both of these gentlemen have been in the industry for many years - and they've earned the right to be respected and believed.

This thread gets tiring after a while because we have to keep repeating ourselves.

OK - perhaps this will help you to get where we're coming from.

You can pull the LS3 out of your Camaro - and you can 'drop' the LS7 in.........

It will sit there and it will not run - because there are not electronics to make it run. There is much more to pulling an engine (today) and putting another in - it's no longer 'plug and play' -- the COSTS to do the software and hardware changes are substantial - both in terms of personnel costs and that of tooling. Good example: getting proper 'throttle tip-in' costs a fortune alone - and requires thousands of hours of testing -

I hope that makes more sense to you.
