I think this is my first post here but I've been monitoring these forums for months.

I stopped in at Hurd Chevrolet in Johston, RI. They said I could order one with $1k to $2k down and it would take about 8 weeks to take delivery. They also said the car is going between $24k to $35k-$36K so it sounds like they are MSRP. They also said that they are expecting 12 of them in two weeks, they are customer ordered cars. We'll see what happens... They are supposed to call me when they come in so I can take a look at the inside. I just don't feel right ordering a car that I've never actually sat in...

Hi, Larry! I'm from Glocester, RI, right next door...can I go with you when you go to test-drive the Camaro?

The only thing better than the nearest dealer selling at MSRP would be if I could afford to buy one...

Wow, cool someone close by! I'm not sure if they will let me drive one. I just want to be able to sit in it to see what it's like. I will certainly let you know when they call me to let me know the cars are in.

I was told by a few of my customers that have ordered Camaro's to come to this forum and post my information for anyone that has any questions or for anyone looking for a Salesperson and Dealership to order from. Sands Chevrolet has been in business for over 70 years and I have been here since Dec. 2001. I have been in the Fleet Department for over 5 years and I do Commercial and Retail Sales. Call me or email me with any questions.

For as long as i can remember they have offered a lifetime warranty, free scheduled maintenance, free loaner car and only 1% over msrp. so if you buy a 71k vett you only pay 710$ in markups which is not much of a trade off for all of the services they offer you at no charge.
Lets not get carried away with this dealership. Called and e-mailed them about ordering the new Camaro. spoke wiht internet slaes and another manager. Was told to pick the color and options, place the order with a deposit. And the price would only be $5,000 over invoice. What a deal for me. They justified it by telling me that it would not be fair me me to receive the car at MSRP or factory invoice price since previous customers were paying the premium on the Camaro's they ordered. Stay clear of this one.

FYI!
Maroone Chevrolet of Pembroke Pines, FL, is still taking pre orders @ MSRP. $1,000 deposit. I spoke with Mel Schindler.

I would have told them "that it's not "fair" that I have to pay more because of their stupidity of paying more than its currently worth !"

I have one more left VIN #1G1YZ26E295101010 that MSRP's at $83,515.00
