All I know is, wherever it is, I will be there!! It doesn't matter if I drive or fly, being able to spend time with fellow Camarohaulics is all that matters.

That's where I stand!

I flew out there for the Fest and would do it again. I had a great time, maybe even better than most, right Spike?

I voted East Coast for Lani, but I'll drive where ever Lani want's me to. If the next show is in Phoenix, that wouldn't be too bad because I've got lots of family in the Phoenix area and it would be a great road trip. Lani doesn't like driving long distances, the road hypnotizes her but I'll drive it.

How about Charlotte, NC at Lowe's Motor Speedway/ ZMax Dragway? A road course can and has been setup on the speedway, and Zmax is a quarter mile dragstrip.

no doubt that there will be support, I never said that, now two a year may start limiting some (some not all) vendors
If those who went to the first fest want to go back there next year and relive the glory, go for it! Nobody is stopping you. But don't expect that the entire rest of the country is going to just sit back and say: "We wanted to go but couldn't because it was too far away but sure! It's okay for us to have nothing official because you people had such a wonderful time the only thing that really matters is you have that exact wonderful time again year after year...just you guys. The rest of us will be quiet and pretend we don't matter because it's all about you guys."
Now I never wanted my words to come across like that, I want everyone to make it, but I know that's not possible
I voted central because I want EVERYBODY to have a reasonable chance at meeting together from not only the U.S. but Canada as well. This includes ALL THE PEOPLE who went to SGMP. I want everybody to be able to get together. It's really sad to see some of the posts coming from a small number who seem to care about no one but themselves.
I would like central as well, BUT the first one was on the east and I was just taking the argument of keeping it here
I'm also astonished at the complete lack of faith and confidence in the organizers who did such a great job with the first fest, to be able to have a second one SOMEWHERE ELSE
now I know I've never said that
Geez have some faith! A west event will pull mostly the west and midwest the way the east event pulled mostly the east and midwest. A midwest event would pull everybody from everywhere. I would love to have it in the west but I'm not being selfish and voting that way because I'm considering that OTHERS might like to go too, so I voted central.
I vote east because people have already proven that they will come out, and I know even more would for C5F2

I will respect everyone's opinion, but don't start putting words in my mouth

well , where is the biggest vette meet? CARLISLE, if they moved it or changed it , it would never be the same, and i mean NEVER...mods started something big with this and could def grow, but can,t move this over and over...need to either keep it where it was BORN. or fine a permanent spot so that it can grow into a culture......whether vegas/ texas , or ga...but needs not to move yearly, let it become history in the making. auto auctions try to keep the same locations year after year, and look how they have become well known.. and sucessful ...5fest has great possibilities, but if you carny it , it will not live up to its possibilities...ga, next year would be 1000 + , can it handle the capacity...need to take all this into consideration....my 2 cents...

That is true, but what is the intended purpose of C5F? Is it hoped that it'll eventually turn into a huge Carisle/SuperChevy/LSXshootout type event, or is its intended purpose to bring national Camaro5.com members together?

Probably a little from column A and a little from column B. In any event, I could see it turning into a big national event if we keep it in one place year after year. Conversely, I see it as being a little more personal and friendly as a traveling road show--more catered to members of C5 than to the Fifth Gen itself. Food for thought.

I'm also astonished at the complete lack of faith and confidence in the organizers who did such a great job with the first fest, to be able to have a second one SOMEWHERE ELSE and have it be as fun if not even more so than the first one. They'd never done one in Valdosta before either yet looked how it turned out. People don't think now that they have some experience they can't do better next year? And also now that they've proven themselves you don't think GM and other vendors haven't noticed and aren't going to start making plans early to attend the next one? Now that they know what these guys and this member community can do, there WILL be a strong vendor presence no matter where they have the next one.

Geez have some faith! A west event will pull mostly the west and midwest the way the east event pulled mostly the east and midwest. A midwest event would pull everybody from everywhere.
