The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next
Track fix.

K32... that follows the MAP pretty damn close. It won't let me apply the equation though. I can't get it to show Analog 2 with the equation applied and it still just shows volts as the unit on the Y axis. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Or can you define the units when you log it?

I went shopping for a manual this time...this is my second 5th gen. The manuals shift like poop stock or hurst compared to my old c5 vette. So I figured drag racing for fun it will be...then get an auto.

Mine shifts fine stock once it's warmed up. The tranny hates being cold for sure. I have read plenty of bad about them. I consider myself lucky to have gotten a solid one. I love my manual... Smoother than my wife's stupid infinty when i want it to be.

Texas2SS has a good manual too. He has the mgw shifter though, so he replaced the entire assembly. I have that shifter on my short list. I tried the factory hurst on my test drive. Not horrible. Not a hurst fan.

I run the mgw shifter with Red line D4 fluid. Shifts much better than with the stock fluid especially with cooler weather. Still need to let her warm up a bit before thrashing on mine though.

My 1LE has the ZL1 shifter I changed out the fluid to Valvoline Max Life (Full Synthetic) and I have zero complaints. The clutch can be a bit grabby though.

I rowed gears in the Barton car last year at fest...that would've changed my opinion if I would have known that was possible.

You're FI though. The ONLY thing i've heard that make a difference is the bar that Rhino and a few others put near the runners, to smooth flow into them. The rest of them are just to lighten your wallet, improve looks, or grind out the last few NA HP.

Also on the horizon is the dual plenum manifolds that are supposedly showing up at SEMA. If they live up to the claims and stay in the price range of the FAST I might be interested.

All this will have time to shake out before I do my Heads/Cam and possibly intake in the fall of next year.

In the meantime I'll keep researching and mostly listening.
There is no magic intake that will justify it's price/HP ratio. Looks, absolutely, but performance no. I'm talking a NA bolt-on car or even moderately modded. The LS3 intake flows very well in stock form. It's not until you start moving a LARGE amount of air that a bigger intake will help.

Not at all. Just got tired of rowing gears in traffic. The ONLY reason I would buy a M6 is if I roadraced.

Oh, and I started a wiki thread.

Figured I would fight the vendors at their own game.

I'd love to run a road course. Don't think I could do a LOT of it. I just don't have the time or expendable funds to do it often.

I think I saw you today but since you didn't wave at me, I just moved along.

Would be nice but everywhere I want to go is usually in a congested area. Don't get me wrong, i'd love to row gears from time to time but not on a daily basis. Been there, done that, got the T shirt.
