Yes. If you don't blindly believe that America produces and engineers the best products in every which aspect, move away.

thats an m3 not a 335... .the m3 is nice.. but not worth the price. especially over here.

it costs 92000USD here compared to 49000USD for the camaro...

thats too big a difference for me

La is a beemer town, I recently left and I'd like having my camaro there. BUT! Everyone claims visibility isn't an issue, but it is, and some of those hills have crap visibility. The beemer is so ehhhh.... save the cash and buy something really modest like a toyota prius(if you can stop one...)

get a used ss, 335i has hpfp issues, yes its under warranty now, but it doesnt help if you have to keep getting it fixed plus styling is bland at best, e46 bimmers look better imo, forget about m series anything maintenance will destroy most pocket books. the thing with bmw is they HAVE to be maintained properly, if not major headaches ahead. go camaro v6 and eventually do twin turbo, or used ss

The high pressure fuel pump and VANOS issues on the 335 out of warranty would have me running the other way. Is the BMW a nice car? You bet. Expensive to maintain and parts will kill you in the long run. I own a BMW M5 and love the car...and lust after Camaros daily. The New Camaro is a beautiful, well put together car

maintenance of bmw is expensive. After 50k you don't get free maintenance anymore, and that's when the bmws start giving you problems

As a guy who is 1/2 German, and loves BMW's, it pains me to say the Camaro is probably the safer bet in the long run. Like many have pointed out here, maintenance is a killer on the BMW in the long run. Yes, you can buy a maintenance plan and/or extended warranty on the new BMW's, but what about after 100K? That is where the "fun" can begin.

Ask yourself if you can afford to feed the car long term. If money was no issue, I would vote 335i hands down, and I own the SS already. But, in the real world, money is an issue for most.

In your situation I would get the Camaro.

you also have to assume turbo cars once they get up in mileage or age will become expensive period. remember the audi s4 2.7tt, turbo rebuilds run $5k, now imagine a bmw when a turbo goes, dumps oil, boost leaks, etc

MANY were having turbo problems with the 335i in 07. I lived on BMW forums for 2 years. I was going to get a stripped 335i manual with sport pkg or a 1/2 loaded 135i manual. I decided for the Camaro due to MANY pissed BMW owners. Like it or not.
