Only Fasforward-Motorsport from Belgium has the autorization from the FIA to homologated the Camaro as a Fia GT 3 race car see below link from the test at the Begium circuit Zolder

Anyone else wondering how they shaved over a 1000 lbs? I thought frame+engine+exhuast+body panels alone would be 3000 lbs+? And that spoiler has to weigh at least 1000 lbs on its own.

The spoiler is probably around 80-100, i'm saying that because my parents have a Viper with a similarly sized spoiler and it is around 70-80.

As for the original weight, the exhaust it cut off completely so there goes 100+lb, if you notice it comes out behind the front wheels. Then if you look at the interior pictures they have gutted it out, and i don't know if you know how heavy all the Components are but the dash board alone is over 200lb. Then you have the seats and back seats, ect. It wouldn't be too hard to drop 1,000lb if you are willing to have NO luxuries. I'd like to see them shave off a little more though. That would be hard.

That is almost 1/3 more power for 1/3 more weight. It really isn't that different, the power to weight ratio looks to be pretty evenly matched. Granted, it isn't going to blow it's competitors out of the water, it will still be able to handle it's own out there.
