Just a suggestion, what about multpile Camaro Fests a year? something like:
April: Arizona June: one of the Dakotas, or MN August: New England September: Tennessee November: FL (or NOLA) Or at least a Western and Eastern meet every year. |

This has been discussed and shot down. The C5 team wants the Fest to be a single massive annual event, not a handful of smaller splinter events.

That's cool, but I think it would be good to keep discussing it, as looking at the turnout from the last one and the plans for the next one, imagine how many people there will be in a few years when there are more on the roads. In another year or two, it might actually be too big to do in one place |

sorry guys, it's already been decided. I'm having it at my house, first 5 to sign up is all we are accepting. I have a drag strip, the city calls it Heartland Blvd. I also have access to a autocross track. Start out on Oak, turn right onto Sherman Drive, first hard left onto 31 north, then back over to Oak. This is a timed event, sponsored by Budlight.

I'm with a lot of the guys who voted midwest/northern side of the country, as it's not going to be something I'll drive 1800 miles to every year.
Indianapolis works because it has the 500, Lucas Oil Raceway Park, and a few road courses all with-in an hour or so of the city. It's also not a huge city and tons of way to arrive. Similar sites should be looked at like Kansas City, Dallas, or even Chicago... And no, I'm not saying it because I live in the Midwest, I'm saying it because I'd like to go to it without having to break my bank just to drive to it. If I'm going to drive 1000+ miles, I'm better off going to Sturgis....

Mid-country in Dallas / Fort Worth Texas may be a good location and we also have access to great hotel group rates: http://www.innsuites.com/fortworth/
