Well, I have to do something. Just got the CEL again yesterday. Stopped by autostore and got the following codes:
P2099 P0008 Look like I am going back to dealer. I fear it will need the time chain replaced. I hear that is expensive.

Also, even though you are out of warranty, might want to ask the dealership about a "good will" repair since the timing chain issues is so well known...

I know the '13's are fairly new, but I am wondering the the timing chain was improved upon since 2010?

I swore I would not be back again after the way I was falsely attacked on here.
I did a Google search for blower motor replacement and in the results was Camaro5. Replaced the blower motor, it is not a bad job, but you have to know how to do it. I just did the timing chains myself too. If you need some help, let me know. You will need to get the proper cam holding tools. I would also get the crank holder too. I didn't want to remove the starter because I have headers. You want to keep everything in place when you change the chains. By the way, I have 132,000 miles on the Camaro. |

I did recently add a Injen CAI and changed out all the spark plugs.

The blower motor has to be cut out. In fact, it was made to be cut out. Even has the screw holes cast into it for the replacement blower to attach. Looks as if the passenger seat sensor is not communicating. The one I have read about, and fear, is the heater core.

Sounds like all of us will be doing timing chains sooner or later UUUGGG. Their LLT write up says "life of the engine" referring to the chains. GM should come out with an extended warranty on this! How bad is the front cover removal? I probably would do it myself. Also noticed most chain failures are people going by that monitor for oil changes.
