Here's a small clip, check it out. Poor Mustang.. LOL
I remember this movie! Couldn't think of the name. Thanks for posting.

And since we are just throwing out movies with cars as the main theme, another 70s special where the car IS the star is the move "The Car". Creepy evil 71 Lincoln Mark III, if I recall.

And of course Christine, the killer car!

So many cars movies back in those days while I was growing up...

The only closest thing, that no poster has already mentioned, is the TV show Knight Rider, but that wasn't a movie. However, the Firebird in it was an F-Body cousin of the Camaro and the car was actually character since it was controlled by a talking computer. That's close enough right?

not really, they were seperate cars, and the third gens had more distinctly seperate looks, even though they were the same underneath.

Sorry OP off topic kinda, but interesting trivia IMO.
There was a '69 Camaro (EDIT: It's a '67) in VANISHING POINT, it is the car they used, NOT a Challenger, for the final scene where Kowalski crashes into the bulldozers and blows up.

+1 Also the UK release is better than the US release... deleted scene in the UK release.

Yep, check out the pictures. It's because the Challengers were on loan from Chrysler.

I'm wrong again... That's a '67 Camaro, vent windows and no side marker lights. Oops!

Kowalski picks up a chick and get's stoned with her. Pulls over and sleeps it off... she's gone when he wakes up.
