i also cant wait to see the new camaros and chally's on the road. i still cant lie to myself and say i like the mustangs...
Congrats to all who bought a Challenger there nice ponies , this one actually looks pretty nice with the Hurst styling and im not much for white.
Definetly am a fan of the Challenger and i would say the Mustange as well i guess.
All are pony cars and all are american which is good enough for me. Congrats to all!

Nice car, I'm hoping to eventually have a challenger and a camaro in my garage. Money is tight right now so I'm considering a V6 Camaro (it blows the V6 Challenger away). That would be a fun car to mod, and the insurance would be cheaper too. If I did do that I would get an R/T Challenger a few years later.

Gotta save up the money right now though, I still don't know what I'm going to get, but it'll be one of these two cars.

if I was going to get one (and I might just buy a used one somewhere down the road), it would be either B5 blue or Plum Crazy... and I'd either get the SRT8 or R/T six speed manual

out of curiosity, though, why is this in the 5th gen General section? shouldn't it be in the General Automotive section?

Why do most of you refer to the Camaro as "all American". Most of them are built in Canada so I don't see your thinking process here. Providing Canadian's jobs isn't helping the good Ole USA much, is it? I own a Chevy Malibu and a Subaru STI and at least both of them were built in the USA by fellow Americans. And yes I know that the STI is from Japan but it was built here which provided my country jobs!! Also, I have spoken to people who work for the Chevrolet plants and they have released information that suggests that many parts are indeed made in foreign countries and that the identification is removed prior to assembly!! Sorry for the rant but I'm just getting tired of people saying "all American" when literally none of these new cars are.

is the plant that built your STi going to help the USA when war times come? is your Subaru built by a company whose corporate headquarters is in the United States of America? are the employees who built your Subaru managed by Americans or Japanese? where does the money that you spent on that STi going, the USA or Japan?

dont even try to get on some holier than thou horse on these forums... you will be shut down by people who have ALOT more information than you do and know how to read a history book... get your facts straight and quit trying to make yourself look smarter than you are

Never said that you did! I don't personally care where they are made, I just don't like hearing people make false statements. I love the SRT's, they're just too big and heavy to make a great track car other than the 1/4 mile. I also love the new Camaro but then again it is heavy but will definitely be a better track car than the SRT's. If it didn't snow so much here I would own one or the other but right now it's just not smart to have a car that won't be safe on wintery roads. Hence why I have an STI, a beast in all weather conditions, lite and nimble, and fast as hell... My Malibu is my gas saver though - 36 mpg on the highway, and I love it.

To answer your questions in order:

1) Yes, since I have served this country for well over the last decade of my life, I have seen Japan take sides with the USA on multiple foreign relations. Not counting the countless United States bases that are located throughout the country of Japan.

2) No, and who cares. What kind of point are you trying to make? GM is darn near bankrupt. Subaru has the higher buyer return loyalty when customers buy from them. At least my fellow Americans have jobs building and selling the cars. No matter where the corporate office is, I'm right that the Camaro is mostly built by Canadians.

3) Both

4) Both

5) I'm not trying to sound smarter than anyone, just trying to get the point accross that most people don't know what they are talking about when refering to "American Made". That is all. Sorry I pissed in your cherios!

If you really study the history books you will truly understand what is written and what actually happened are two very different things.

Peace, and lets stop the bitching on a car forum! This thread started out so good and its going down the tubes.

Remember this forum is made of Camaro loving enthusiasts from all nations, all religions and all politcal views.
