You've done your homework... get the V6. It has plenty of power.

Holy crap! Now that's ridiculous. That pole sheered that thing right down the middle.

^YEP^

IF you don't require MASSIVE POWER.

5.7 seconds to 60mph is very quick.

With a little cash you should be able to get that down anyway. If 0-60 was a big deal to you.

you wants a sports car get the V8. You want a sporty everyday driver get the V6. Depends on what you want and care for or can afford

Not sure if the V8 is too much car but, it's worth every nickel I paid for it. This is my fifth Camaro. All have had V8s. So I really wouldn't know any better.

These are my reasons I didn't get a V8:
- I'm not racing
- I didn't want the extra insurance expense
- I didn't want the extra gas expense
- I didn't want the extra power
- I'm used to 4-bangers
- I didn't want to make an SS pink
- I'm only 28 and if I want to buy one in the future, I will.

All in all, I'm a girl and I just don't need that power (right now) without going to some kind of racing school and learning to drive 'for real'.

And, I ran into my garage the first couple of months I had it... can you imagine what I would do with a V8? I'd kill myself.

A couple random questions...anyone have an idea of how long delivery takes on average? My sales guy said 4-8 weeks, I am hoping it isn't the latter :o

Also on the SS1, are there audio mounted controls on the steering wheel and a remote car starter? After considering everything I really want a SS1 but can't decide if skipping on the comfort things is worth it...

If you think the 8 is too much, it prolly is, go with the six. Personally I'm wonderin' if I can get a CTS-V powerhouse in a Gen5 body!

It varies depending on allocation, extras and location being shipped to. Your best bet is to go to the Camaro Price | Ordering | Tracking | Dealers Discussions and read the TPW threads for 2011.
