For all of those naysayers, I have also considered the cost of the car, living, etc.

Rent an apartment. Car gets paid off first, especially with my crap credit as it is. I think the car would be a wise investment in building credit for the eventual purchase of a home, and with insurance I already pay an equivalent with my truck. If you plan it out, a Camaro can work. I also do not plan to replace this car..ever. Nor my bike. So gas hikes may not be as much an issue as they seem.

well im 17...and am like 99% sure il get a full ride to the collage i plan on attending. If this is the case, my parents already had the money to pay for the collage.....and that money will just be sitting there so

and i found this kinda odd...I currently have an 07 Cobalt sport and was curious about the insurance prices for the camaro so i asked my dad to call the insurance company and get the price of a Challenger R/T and shockingly it was only 20 more (not sure if it was 6 months or per year) than my cobalt. I dont see how this makes sense but i was happy so whatever.

I turned 18 in November and I plan on purchasing a Black 2SS Camaro. How I'm paying for it is my business but I'm not going to ask anybody to pay one cent.

I prefer people (especially people my age) to learn lessons the hard way. They stick better.

Once again, not to harass but typing prowess has almost nothing to do with a lack of grammar skills...

The thing that makes everyone mad is these kids with seemingly no values or even pride; relying on mommy and daddy's funds for everything. People like me will always enjoy our toys more, simply because of the knowledge that it's our hard work that got them for us.
you nailed it. if you think about the things you've had in life, you'll notice that you always appreciated the ones you got on your own means a bit more. you took better care of them and could appreciate the sacrifices made to get there.

the people (not always just the kids) that think they're just entitled to nice things & have them handed to them all the time tend to take things for granted and don't pay respect to the work it took to make it possible.

another thing people have against teens driving cars like this is their inexperience behind the wheel. statistically, teenagers are among some of the worst drivers, and because they don't have the experience it takes to cope with the extra skills necessary to safely drive a performance vehicle (among other factors), it can lead to some unsafe situations on the road. i ain't saying this is true of every teen or just teenagers, but in general, this is one of the biggest concerns for people.

So if you won the lotto, and you get 50000, you wont buy a fully loaded SS, and wont appreciate it at all? Its not like you worked your ass of to get the car now did you, so honest question, say you win 50000 and you have everything paid for, there are no bills to pay, would you not buy a fully loaded SS or whatever you like? Do you think that you would treat your car like shit. Its up to the person completely whether they appreciate their car whether they make the money for it or not. I know people who work their asses off and buy cars and still treat it like shit. Please dont assume on others behalf
