Honest question though, why not just hit the easy button and make the classes just like our fast lists? Men from the boys type shoutout. The DA will change everyone's times but we get to see the guys in the ladder that show up truly run against each other. Js

that's what I'm saying...Fast list shootout FTW (no 1/8th only...just 1/4 mi fast list shootout...should have clarified). Run the crap all sportsman tree heads up. Add on one bracket class for you guys that like it.

While that would be great and make it feel very much like a Camaro5 specific event, that would be 13 V8 classes, 3 V6 classes plus bracket and exhibition classes. That would be a lot to keep track of and make tech difficult for the track personnel.

Something that would be cool is announcing cars that have moved up a certain fast list. Posting up some big printouts or something and highlighting cars that are in attendance. |

holy crap...didn't realize that was 13 v8 classes. my bad...I was thinking the 11 v8 classes listed but we could narrow it tighter combining drag radial and slicks, dropping the 1LE classes and maybe combine all the street tire guys. Yes it would require a moderator there constantly...maybe have him grab a few guys to help tech folks. I would volunteer to help when I'm not running if you want...but you really need guys helping that aren't in line.

Woah woah woah, I guess I missed this part? I thought it was open to all generations.

Sorry, this was same as the past 3 years. It's really meant to make sure the 13 sec and up cars can get in on some competitive fun. The fest has a lot of brand new race drivers and the intent of brackets is to ensure they participate too.

Any chance the v6s can all be bunched up?

I cant spend the money to race unlimited, 8sec cars vs my 11sec car isn't truly a competition. I was planning on bringing quite a few friends who have older cars for bracket, couldn't there be a change on that to give it just some diversity+car count? Or dare I go out on a limb and say add a gen 1-4 bracket?

Remember guys, this is not a NHRA event. The purpose is to give Camaro fans a chance to gather and have some fun. If you sole purpose is to come for a trophy then you are going to miss out on a lot.

I know its for fun, id just like to be able to run brackets instead of heads up with cars that much much faster than mine. Just to name a couple that wanted to come to this event, my little brother has a 91 Camaro maybe a 12sec car, and 2 friends are wanting to go one with a 94 firebird and the other with a 74 Camaro. both maybe low 13sec cars. They wouldn't stand a chance in unlimited.
