No, that's it. I can tell by your string of excuses that you don't agree with it. Run your own comprehensive comparison if you wish, but don't lecture us on facts until you do.

The facts don't support you.

For the record, Honolulu Blue is baby blue tinted with 50 years of epic failure....Thats why the Detroit Lions use it.

It is actually pretty amazing the mustang kept up with a 100 rwhp handicap.

Although I do believe the Camaro heat soaked worst than the stang.

Always the same old thing. Bottom line: Camaro owners on this forum will generally support the Camaro, Xxxxxxxx owners will generally support the Xxxxxxxx. If one beats the other, excuses fly as to how it possibly could have happened. Then it often turns into a bashing contest. I suppose these forums would get dull otherwise but it also gets old. Same ol' same ol'.

Right. So your basis for comparison of a '11 mustang and '11 camaro is a single lap race between two cars, one being a 2010 mustang, with roll cages, coilovers, a 100rwhp deficit and different drivers? Do you not think the mustang would have won with an extra 100rwhp, or even 50rwhp? They're not excuses if they make your argument irrelevant. If the IRS is always better than SRA then why was the mustang three tenths slower with over 100rwhp less? Sorry, I just fail to see how that supports your position or how it's even relevant to reference this "comprehensive comparison" regarding stock 2011 mustang vs stock camaro ss. The mustang has a completely different drivetrain and the cars are far from stock.

If I'm not mistaken, pedders ran a privately owned 5.0 vs a privately owned ss and the 5.0 laid down the faster lap. I believe it was an L99, but if you want facts, that is a much more relevant comparison than two built track cars.

The weight is what will make the biggest difference.

Sobriety will make the biggest difference.

Ok, that explains a lot.

My son wants me to buy him a Mustang next year instead of giving him the Camaro.... His reasoning is.... why have one cool car to drive when you can have two! lol... I like the look of the 2011 Mustangs.

Astounding investigatory skills Mr. Holmes; how did you discover such a vague connection? How sad that you have to attack my lifestyle to avoid accepting the facts. I smoke legally and responsibly. I also qualified and was accepted by American Mensa while high for a portion of the test, so your point is hardly valid. So, tell me: is it because I am high, or do you think that a 0.3s difference could easily be made up with an extra 100rwhp? How about even just 50rwhp? Please answer, I'd like to hear your logical explanation of why it wouldn't. Beyond that, do you think a single lap race between these race cars is a better means for comparison of stock cars than a single lap race between TWO STOCK CARS (5.0 vs L99)? I'd like to hear your explanation of that one as well. Let's keep the personal issues out of it and talk facts. Thanks.

Last time I checked this was a camaro forum, Myself I do not give a rats ass what others drive, but it gets a little old when X brands come on and flap their gums about how wrong or that could not happen, well it can!! and the last time I went too buy a car it was as a package. So get over yourselves.

Ya know we went so long without a great choice of pony cars and now we have 3 excellent examples and it's all about arguing which is better, which is faster, which has a better interior, which one gets more compliments, and which has a more fragrant exhaust note. The fact is they are all great, you cannot go wrong folks! None are crap PERIOD! Enjoy what you have and don't berate what you don't. Remember it's all about opinion, remember you bought your car for your reasons and the other guy bought his for his reasons.

Performance numbers aren't opinions.

But yes, alot of other things are. Color, looks, interior appearence, wheels, etc. But performance numbers (from reputable sources) are facts, not opinions.
