Glad he's ok, but.....

16, 17 and 400+HP = nothing but trouble. I don't care what anybody says, they just can't have the experience for that kind of power at that age. the parents don't have to buy a POS for their kids, but 400+HP for a young kid, just getting a license, is just plain ridiculous.

I love how many people on this forum beat down on teenagers and make it sound like all teenagers act a certain way and what not, like saying teenagers that get vehicles given to them by their parents don't know how to appreciate things or that teenagers drive recklessly or etc... My parents gave me my Camaro and if you think I don't appreciate it, then idk, maybe you are stupid , and I don't drive recklessly or text/talk on the phone when I drive either (seems to be a common reference to teenagers) but the funny thing is that there are a lot of adults doing these things (driving recklessly/texting or talking on the phone while driving). I guess all I'm asking for is that if you are gonna talk sht about teens don't make it sound like every teen is the same because we aren't.

Hey now, quit all the bashing. My parents bought me a Mustang that was only a few years old when I got my license at 15 and I lived!

Then again, it was the 4-cyl 88hp model

I just hope this kid learned a valuable lesson this time, take it to the track. If not the next time you see him mentioned it might include the sentence "Driver was dead upon arrival."
Real educated response, did you notice all the other camaro wreck threads? Who were the drivers of those? Heck remember the white SS that was split by the pole? That was driven by an ADULT!
Look at all the camaro wrecks with adults, theyre considerably less then teenagers. It could be that there are less teenagers with camaros, it could not. The point is theres bad apples in all basket, reguardless of age.
theres 40 year old dumbasses just as there is teenage dumbasses.
I still cant believe how that kid managed to do that.

Oh and if you wanted to find something else thats very interesting, look at the number of DUIs and the average age of the offenders.
