I bought this car purly for the looks and the HP. Went with the 1SS as I had no use for all the extra frills. I would'nt have even cared if It came with a radio delete like in the older days.
That extra money saved bought alot of go faster parts lol

I went with the 2ss/rs for my D/D but if I were you I would go with the 1SS. Save money for mods.

I test drove the 2SS and had to have it. I had to make up my mind with choosing black, white, or IBM. The day before I was to make the deal a Cyber gray 1SS was fresh on the lot. It was the first 1SS that I sat in. Right away I loved the simplicity of it, no bull$hit. The gauges distract. I liked the sound system even tho I always upgrade to my taste later. The only thing I may regret is the heated mirrors. It's a daily driver. At first I was mad because I was wasting the free XM, I would rather listen to the engine!

I got the 1SS w/ the m6 ls3. I opted for that because i'm not the biggest fan of leather or the sunroof.
However.. the 1SS lacks these things that i might've liked. Center Console Gauges (I put my droid window mount down there..looks nice) HUD USB Port in the Center Console The USB Port and the Gauges can be added after you buy the car by the dealer. I also got the RS Package for the HID lighting and other small touches. (I greatly would recommend this) Also would recommend the BA stereo system. |

1SS non RS. Not a gadget geek and don't like leather seats. 10 months old and I don't miss what I don't have.

I think only you can really answer the question of 1SS or 2SS... Look at the options you will get by going with the 2SS vs. the options you won't have with the 1SS and decide if it is something you can do without...

I purchased the 2SS because there wasn't any option that I didn't want. My Camaro isn't a daily driver so I wanted to get "top of the line" car and that was the 2SS/RS option. I got mine loaded out with just about everything including the sunroof, but I did NOT upgrade to the auto tranny. To me it just doesn't feel like a sports car with an auto tranny. Besides that now my wife nor my daughter ask me to drive it because they can't drive a stick.

The dealer did not have a 1SS at the time I was looking. I loved the 2SS and how it drove. I guess I need to go to a bigger dealership and sit in both to really decide. Thanks for the input guys.

1SS It was cheaper to add the extras than having them in place allready. Plus leather seats are horrible. To many complaints of wrinkles in the leather and the color tranfers on your pants.

1- If the options don't make it go faster, why get them
2- Save the money and get the 1SS, then pay a few hundred $ for louder mufflers so you don't hit the rev limiter between gears, because stock mufflers are quieter than Buicks, also add skipshifteliminator and Cold Air induction 3-I would have paid extra to have Leather removed if it was the onlu choice for 1SS, while living in Houston,TX |

i ordered a 1ss, i do like the leather but i could not justify another 3000 for the options that i will never use heated seats, heated mirrors, usb etc. the hud is nice. i did buy the gauge cluster and white interiior panels. i really want to put in some kind of houndstooth interior. get what you want because you are the one thats paying for it.
