There is going to be a good amount of power left on the table though regarding the shorties. However, there are a number of other things to consider, like fitment, quality, emissions, etc. It's your money though

Yes about 30 hp possible for all three. Here is the deal If you have them put on go have the car tuned. Also we have found that the factory sparkplugs are a heat range too high so try one step cooler if you live in a typically hot climate. This is just a suggestion on the plugs. It worked for me to the tune of 8 HP on the dyno on an avg of 5 pulls.
I have seen people do all the above and only gain 10-15 hp because they needed a tune. Remember climate and altitude etc.... affect your cars performance and effeciency so anytime you make a bunch of changes do some tuning. Just a suggestion but a good tuner makes all the difference!!! |

If I was keeping the car I would ONLY get SS headers. Remember too in fitment, some MFG's consider 'too close' as good enough. You get what you pay for.

So true. It's not often, but sometimes you can get a good deal on a great product, but that seems to not be the norm'.

thats not always true. there are plenty of times where I have found that I could get the same for less.

Cold air intakes, no big deal. Most exhaust systems don't retain factory emissions whether they say so or not. It just takes time for the DTC to set. If you add wheels and tires and now your speedometer is off (because most people don't calibrate that) that won't be covered. When there is a problem, it is normally pretty obvious where the fault is. I'm not saying every time the fault is 100% with the customer, but when there is a link, it is obvious. It occurs more often than you think.

For anyone that is worried about warranty issues with aftermarket parts, refer to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Here is the Wikipedia link but I'm sure you can find more "legal" based links about it if you look.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson-Moss_Warranty_Act Here is a different link to the Federal Trade Commision http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/business/adv/bus01.shtm

The amount of HP you gain from these bolt-ons will greatly depend on how well the Camaro's stock parts performed. The better the calibration of tune and parts the less HP gain you will see. For example, I read and viewed an article where a GTO gained 40 HP just from an FIPK from K&N.
And your warranty cannot be voided from a FIPK, headers, and/or cat back exhaust systems. As well as, if you the owner installs them. That would be like GM saying your warranty is void unless you only use AC Delco oil filters and GM istalls them for you. Now, N2O, cams, heads, electronic tunes, ect can/will void your factory warranty if caught. Furthermore, most aftermarket companies inform you if instalation of thier part will void your factoy warranty.

K&N's Airchargers put out 10-15 hp on the Mustang GT and the Challenger SRT-8, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect similar gains from the Camaro.
I'm going aftermarket. Way more bang for the buck, and what I'm getting (CAI, long tubes, exhaust) isn't likely to malfunction. |

I would bet the intake gives 7-9 rwhp, the shorty headers give 6-8 rwhp, and the exhaust is 2-3 rwhp . Then a custom dyno tune will net you more than all of the above, I've seen it for years on all of the new GM cars, especially when you mod them, the performance upgrades generally detune the PCM which does not provide the real power gain from the performance parts installed, because the addiaional airflow causes timing to be pulled, and the AFR to richen up a bit losing power with your stock tune.
