I had a friend come out from Wal-Mart to find people hacking off his exhaust cat back. Some cats go for like $600+ let alone the mufflers and exhaust. He stomped on the guys head. It happens.
It's true. I also heard of thieves stealing catalitic converters off of new cars and selling them cheap. Then there was the copper theft a couple of years ago. WTF?

It's an antiquated, outdated term that generalizes separate asian ethnicities, as well as describes people as something they're not, as the Orient refers to a specific region in Asia as well as certain things, like vases, rugs...shit like that. And some asian people don't like it.

It's essentially the same thing as calling a black person, "colored", or "Negro". At least to the people who are offended by it.

Or like calling you a Sicilian. If you're not actually Sicilian. Most Italians who aren't Sicilian take offense to being called Sicilian.

Still amazed at the amount of ethnocentricity pervading middle-class America these days.

And flight attendants don't like being called stewardess. Domestic engineers don't like being called house wives. Servers don't like being called waiters. Little people don't like being called midgets.
I bet people will think I'm crazy if I say I don't like to be called a white man. I prefer Caucasion. I'm on board with stamping out offensive, derogatory remarks, but we have become so over PC, that it's getting riduculous!!

The incident was caught on his neighbors video camera. As usual, what really happened is somewhat different than the story we were told originally.

It's not about being soft, and it's not even about me saying "hey f* off that's offensive." It's about the fact that lots of people don't even know that it's offensive. That's why I'm asking if he even knows that it is, because guess what, it's a generalization and offensive to some.

Yea the difference is, Caucasians are not the minority in this country. Like another commenter said, oriental is an outdated term, and while many people haven't grown up with it being used as a slur, there's some of us old enough to have dealt with it, and we don't appreciate it. Again, just bringing it to the OP's attention that it's offensive to some. Don't mean to thread hijack but the way people are saying "what's the big deal" bugs me.

If i noticed someone was following me i definatly wouldnt go home or any place i attend to regularly. One time this guy in a minivan was behind me FOREVER but it was in a neighbor hood so i thought maybe were both headed in the same direction until li turned into a coldesac street on accident and turned all the way around and he kept going behind me..thats when i was like okay this guy is definatly up to somehting so i booked it out of sight and took like 5 turns to hopefully get rid of a trail.Buuuuuut someone saying they might be jar jackers is 100% possible.I know they use people in nice cars to go scope out other nice cars and since people see other car guys they kind of welcome them to the group so they act as friends and then talk to them as friends not strangers and they get more info on a certain car and go back to other car jackers and inform them of the car, where it stays, the owner, protection of it and all thtat jank. But they could also just a couple of punk kids.

It's interesting to me how the topic in this thread went from a couple of kids offering to race, to racial, to thieves, to stalkers. I'll be sure to never offer a stranger to race me, that's for sure.....they might think I'm a serial killer. LMAO!
