Hey panther now that becky cant track for me anymore does camarotracker do any better of updating after you get to 3800?

That is what i used. They will update till it gets to the dealer and you sign the papers, here is mine.

10/19/2010 - (3800) Order produced and vehicle is being prepared for shipping.
10/20/2010 - (4000) Vehicle available to ship
10/20/2010 - (4150) Invoiced (Order is invoiced to the dealer)
10/20/2010 - (4B00) Your car is bayed and is waiting for transportation by Truck, Rail or transfer to vendor
10/26/2010 - (4200) Shipped (Vehicle is shipped to the dealer or point of delivery)
11/02/2010 - (4800) Rail Ramp Unload
11/02/2010 - (4B00) Your car is bayed and is waiting for transportation by Truck, Rail or transfer to vendor
11/04/2010 - (4200) Shipped (Vehicle is shipped to the dealer or point of delivery)
11/04/2010 - (5000) Delivered To Dealer
11/10/2010 - (6000) Delivered To Customer or dealer has completed customer paperwork

Also you can have your dealer call the GM Dealer Business Center and get the railcar # that your camaro is on and you can track your car on the train. Here is some info you will need once you get the Railcar #

CSX is everything east of the mississippi
Up is everything west of the mississippi

But they all start out on CSX so once they have it in there system they will follow it all the way.

How do I track my car on a railcar?

First and most important. Never talk to live personnel at the railroad! Only use automated phone system. If it attempts to transfer you to a live person please hang up. The railcar information we are provided by GM is given as a courtesy and if we call live personnel we will lose our data and ability to track
CSX
1. Call the CSX 1-800-235-2352 1-800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location.
3. When prompted for the car initials, say ETTX (whatever initials you have) then wait for the next prompt. OR key in 32-81-81-92 (for ETTX)(letter and position on your phone)
4. When prompted for the car number, say 907048 or key in whatever your car number is
5. When prompted for next car say DONE.
6. That's it; enjoy your updated status report.

Union Pacific
1. Call UP at 1 800 877-5123 1 800 877-5123
2. Follow phone prompts for Trace
3. Say the railcar number complete and clearly. Example ETTX123456 all together
4. Listen for your update

These automated systems can be frustrating. Keep in mind they are intended for use by folks that use them daily all day long. Like I said if you are being transferred to a live person please hang up and try again.

Not yet my salesmen called and said they told him that it was waiting for the stripes to be put on it. But chevy.com says its done and being shipped to the dealer. salesmen said he wont know anything again till next monday. I posted on the forum on camrotracking.com about getting my status checked more than once a week and got the following response which i dont understand.

"Your Camaro is and has been checked manually just like Becky does it on C5. It is checked against global connect via a dealer porthole. Normally, all Chevy products are checked automatically 4 times a day and information will run from order to delivery. However, when checked manually via global connect the data only will run thru 3800 produced. Something in the way your dealer ordered it has made the information not capable to be automatically updated. Ie. it could be a stock order or a promotion order vehicle rather than a retail sold order. So with that all said it looks like this will be all the data we can provide. However you can call Chevy cutstomer service and they will be able to provide further detail on your order and its shipping as it is available. Their number is Phone:800-222-1020

How to reach a live person:
Keep pressing 0 through all of the messaging.

Hours of Operation:
Mon - Fri: 8am - 11pm EST

just got off the phone with chevy customer service and they said it was ready to ship and they had forgotten to put on the strips so it got pulled back to do that. Hope that dont take too long. Gave me a case number said call back on monday afternoon for an update.

At least your car is built!
The rest of us prolly got delayed with the storms shutting down the plant. With me being a Texan, with the roads snowed and iced over...id be calling the boss "caint make it in today boss..house is plum snowed in"

As long as the rest of our cars are built within the next couple days I suspect all of ours will be on the same train out of there. Hopefully anyway. Hopefully all they forgot is the stripes on yours and not some important bolts ect!!

Aint that the truth!!!!! Hopefully ours will be built soon but the safety of the workers is paramount. I can wait..........
