Can someone please tell me why that 1989 Corvette 'DR-1' convertible went for $286,000? What is so special about some plain looking 80's style corvette. To me, that was a time befor corvette really became what it is today. So what was so special about this one?

After watching this auction my price guess has come down a lot. I now say $180,000

I think it was 1 of 1 and a ZR-1 Never herd of a DR 1 ?

I think you will be surprised, this is for the first Camaro off the assembly line, very collectible.

It was a rebody and for a ZL1 the key is untouched sheet metal along with the rest to go north of that 6 figure number.

Nah I think its going to be a toss up between Hendricks and Pratt.

With those two bidding...who knows where it will end.
