Maybe its just me, but I think that was a screw up on GM's part. The productions ones should have been like that too.

Those pictured are most certainly painted on stripes. I see a lot of folks doing that, I think it looks better over the lip, as shown here.

yeah, i want it to go over the lip too, but dont want to go through the trouble of having it painted... i'ld rather just pick it up from the dealer and be done.... i also dont have any problem with the front stripes, and would hate to have it painted JUST because of the back.
