The supercharger and tuning are not. I'll wager any amount on that fact.
nope 50 state emissions legal with tune right on the website.. comeon man do the research before making these statements

the only part that has the offroad discalimer is there headers and stg2 and 3 as they add valvetrain components

Emissions legal has nothing to do with GM's powertrain warranty.

Call GM and ask them if an SLP added supercharger and tuning is OK with the GM powertrain warranty.

I guess I just picked a corrupt dealer with a corrupt service manager who turns his head when cars with SLP products come in. Or my dealer goes above and beyond and purchases its own warranty plans for its customers on specialty orders. and again i guess SLP is lying when it says GM has a hand in the powertrain warranty of ZL cars. the world may never know..

all i know is my cars been in twice for an axle replacement and for an oil change with not a spec of a problem.

If they did a rear axle repair under the GM warranty, then yes they are corrupt.

The policy from GM is clear and in black and white. Any dealer that alters the hp or calibration - the powertrain warranty is blocked.

You're dealer is looking the other way, because they sell those aftermarket products. It's like a McDonalds selling Whoppers out the back door. McDonalds corp has nothing to do with what went out the back door. Choke on that Whopper and Ronald will tell you to pound sand.

LT's require a tune to avoid a CEL some high flow cats have avoided throwing a CEL but it's hit or miss. Like the saying goes you gotta pay to play. Sometimes that means you will get stuck should the motor fail or a drive shaft or axel snap.

heres the story.. im coming from an 09 subaru wrx which i put an downpipe and cobb accessport on (base tune). I blew a rod bearing and my warranty was void and i had to cover the 6000 dollar shortblock and heads.
So i wanted to make sure my ass was covered this time if i modded. So i did my homework on SLP and MY dealership. The sales managers assured me as one of my questions was "when you guys take my car to slp for my blower and lets say my motor blows up, will it be covered?" I was assured that it will, i then asked him if it will be covered for the lifetime of my original ownership, and again was assured. He told me that as long as the SLP parts are installed at that GM dealer or SLP it will all be covered.

I have been told time and time again from my dealership that most SLP parts, apart from specifically marked offroad products, are warranty friendly with GM
The Warranty coverage is from SLP. Not GM. GM will honer the rest of the car, but SLP picks up the powertrain and they only cover you for 3 years 36,000 miles. The GM powertrain that covers the 5 years 100,000 gets voided.

thanks for the input but that is not what happened in this case. i did not start with a regular GM warranty from my dealership we discovered, it is a "vehicleone" warranty coverage as my dealership shows there apreciation by giving lifetime powertrain warranties for buying from them. and I have a 5 year slp coverage on my mods which i paid 895 for..

If what you say is true, wouldn't you have been better off with the GM warranty for the first 5 years since it was "free"...then pay the $800 for the "life time" warranty once the GM warranty runs out.....

I think Russ is correct, your GM drive train warranty is gone! Once you added the SC and tune, it's over.

But, there's one way to know for sure before you find out the hard way! Do as Russ said and call GM direct. If what you say is true, your dealer will soon be flooded with work!

You do not have to tune for the headers and such but your check engine light will come on because your readings from your o2 sensors will change.
I thought headers need a tune because it not only throws the cel but also leans out the motor enough to even fry some pistons>??

Think of SLP as the same thing as GMPP. the 2 companies have been shaking hands since the 70s
why are you and the guy above you saying two completely different things?
