If you can look at both of these cars and still be on the fence. Well then maybe you might want to look at a bunch of other cars as well. In 2006 i knew EXACTLY what my next new car was going to be. I just bought it DEC 31, 2010.

My wife made a highly accurate observation of me during the look around, test drive, delivery and drive home. Her words were. You didn't even look at the creature comforts or the extras or anything. All you cared about was the Power, Braking, handling and looks of the car. She was spot on. I would have cared less if it came with radio/carpet delete and had no power options.

No other vehicle was even a consideration.

Choose your own car man. You will be happier in the end.

Camaro hands down

we have a mustang right now in the shop, it's cool, but the Camaro still has that NEW & Unique look.

The Mustang is still the same look overall, just a few running changes & the 5.0.

I never notice mustangs driving down the road, but i always spot the camaro. Depends what you are really going for.

I like the interior in both, good luck with making your choice.

The only similarity between the Mustang and the Camaro is they are both 2 door and both have get up and go. From there on out they are two different animals. Well there both bad ass cars too. Anyway, They drive totally different in my opinion, The mustang feels more sporty, very small and smoother, I dont mean ride but the way it drives, you just need to drive it to feel. The Camaro has a larger more muscle car feel. The Camaro actually rides better but feels rougher. It sounds strange but thats the best way I can explain it. Once you drive the Camaro I think youll see what I mean. I of course like the Camaro way better but you may not. Dont base your decision on magazine reviews, go out and drive them, and pick what feels right for you. I think once you do that you will know right away because they drive so differently. Good Luck and let us know what you pick! You wont get to much of a hard time if you pick wrong, ha ha.

This is easy. If you like the looks the same then drive both for a nice long drive and purchase the one that fits the best.

They both perform well, both have tons of aftermarket support so buy the one that you enjoy the most driving.

One more thing.

The Mustang 5.0 is a great car. But the Camaro has more soul.

Revo your SS is a monster. One of, if not the best/cleanest exhaust set ups I've heard!

props/respect.

I own a Camaro ss, and I test drove a 5.0 with the Brembo package and the 3.73 rear. I can tell you that if you don't want to spend a lot of money on mods, I would get the Mustang. Through a Borla Sport catback exhaust on and go! The car sounds awsome with that exhaust, and is a blast to drive. The brakes are a weak link though. The fronts are good, but Ford skimped on the rears. If you want to mod your car, then I would go with the Camaro there is a ton of stuff out there for the SS! Box stock the 5.0 was more fun to drive than my Camaro, put some money into the Camaro and it's more fun than the Mustang. Hope this helps, and good luck. There are no losers in your choice.

That's the truth. Just remember the name of this forum is Camaro5. Asking us which car we will choose is like asking a crackhead what is his drug of choice. It's a no-brainer.
