Peace of mind is well worth the cost. Do it and you will not regret it.

I clear bra'd my entire front bumper. Including the Headlights and "Fog" lights. I even installed my vinyl stripe kit on top of it. You don't even notice it's there. If you look closely, you can see the seams where the clear bra is cut to form. I paid $500 locally for 3M certified installation and warranty. Do it

The best pic I have at the moment.

My clear bra quandry..

I am going to get a clear bra put on, BUT I have matte black rally stripes, matte black vinyl mail slot and matte black gill vinyl inserts. (Photos Below)

I am mulling several options and need some advice

1) Clear bra front bumper and have them cut around the mail slot, do nothing to the hood and nothing to the gills

2) Clear bra the whole front bumper including mail slot, clear bra over the gills and clear bra just the stripes on the hood and trunk so the black looks glossy on the whole car

3) Do the front bumper cut around the mail slot, do nothing to the hood and clear bra over the gills. The gills will be glossy black with the hood and mail slot still matte black

Decisions are tough , any first hand advice is appreciated.

This is what I would do. 3M clear bra's are cut from CAD files available to the installer from their supplier. So they would have to cut special pieces for your hood stripes. Your mail slot is already covered by a vinyl, providing some protection from damage to that area. If your mail slot vinyl does get damaged by road debris, you can always replace that vinyl. Also, get the side mirrors done and the areas in the quarter panels and rockers adjacent to your tires. These Pirelli's love to pick up everything and fling it at your paint. Personally, I would be worried about the headlights and fog lights. Seeing as their more sensitive to damage, money wise. Whatever you decide be sure to post it up! I'm sure there will be more people in your position wondering the same thing

One of the installers locally uses Xpel, and on their site they have precut film for the stripes. Check out the link below, its the last kit at the bottom.

I say do the gills!!!! Find a few 2010 camaros and look at the gill area and you will change your mind FAST..

I had the full bumper wrapped,up the hood 8",Mailslot,Head Lights,Fog Light's. I also had them do behind all 4 tires and wheels as well as the Gill areas..

A good shop can and will trim around your Black Gills. Don't not do it!!!

Where did you have it done? I am in Sarasota myself.

Thanks,
