The Charger srt-8 is porbaly going to wieght a tick more than the Challenger Srt8 so 4250lbs ish?? No way the ZL-1 would wiegh 4150lbs (300lbs more than the SS @ 3860) IMVHO I don't see the ZL-1 wieghing more than 3950lbs.

The engine upgrades alone would be enough to justify 100 lbs. Then they added more weight by beefing a few things up. At that point, it becomes a question of how much can they save. Personally, I expect it to be somewhere between 4000 and 4100.

I completely agree.

This is manly and stylish. The outgoing model was stuck somewhere between feminine and manly and just ended up being the fruit cup down the street you put up with because he had money (Hemi engine).

Now that looks sweet! I would definitely take this over an SRT8 Challenger, way more sharp, aggressive lines. That grey looks nice.

To get a Mustang GT even close to the SRTs option levels is over 40k and you can can't even get an SS close enought to the SRTs STANDARD equipment to even matter. Also I am not saying the ZL1 is not worth it's price, it will be, it is just in a different niche and should not be compared to SRT8 anymore than a barebones Mustang GT or Camaro SS should be.

Im getting my times from the 392 Challenger. It has ran a best ET of 12.4 and best mph 114-115. And no the Challenger is not that much lighter. 100-200 lbs tops. The cars are basically the same, but from ive heard so far the new Charger will have better Aero than the Challenger.

The amount of new features and technology in this new charger is amazing. For once I can say this is one SRT8 that is well worth the coin. The cts-v will likely be $20k ($43k vs $63k) more than this car. Even the ZL1 will likely be $10k more. I would much rather buy this car and throw a $10k supercharger on it and and go V/ZL1 hunting on a daily basis. lol



Yup u just about summed it all up...wait u forgot to mention that 19 speaker sound system will be powered by 900 Watts! All STANDARD equipment
