If this past consensus is only for the last 2 weeks in March, does this mean they will possibly have another consensus in 2 weeks for April - or are we going to wait a month for the next consensus?

Sorry to burst your bubble but I completely disagree with your assessment as well.

No, just stating my view. Time will tell.

I apologize if I misinterpreted your statement:
"Our GM rep told the inventory manager those units (6 to be built first) would have to be submitted by tuesday 2-10-2009."
Six cars submitted by Feb. 10th sounded to me like they were intended for initial build in March.

And this statement:
"Our constraints are revised on thursdays so, we will have submitted 6 to be built and hopefully the will not be held up"
Implies you expect all six submitted 2/10 to be built.

Then when asked by trm0002: "So you are saying you're confirmed to receive 6 of your 16 "in the next 30 or so days" (constraints determining) ?" you reply:
"No,it only means those orders will be picked up by production control. But,is it possible ,yes."
And so I disagreed, saying it wasn't possible, which it isn't.

Then you state:
"The 6 cars will be preferenced from the 16 tuesday. They will be accepted by production control."

Finally, when you incurr more resistance from members you state:
"Well'we did get allocated 16 and 6 will get picked up tuesday"

Is it any wonder I "misunderstood" you?????? And why on earth would I have been intimidated? I wasn't, and I'm not a bully, just someone looking for facts.

about a month til production

Since production is about a month away, when is GM going to send out some more pictures. I would like to see pictures with all the different options like SS rims vs RS rims and polished rims.

Once production starts in March, the dealers should start to get in real brochures. You'll be able to see everything in those. However, I heard that they will be like those of the Corvette, expensive and limited, at least initially. I've never seen a Corvette brochure just sitting in the dealer new car literature rack, have you? In any case, whatever you see at the dealer you should be able to download in today's information age.

I would think they want to sell the Camaro too badly to make the brochures hard to get, even initially.

And although I'm a great lover of peace, your previous avatar was far more....interesting! Let me guess, you received a lot of static about it? Bummer!!! :(

Well, there are kids on here from time to time just because they happen to be sitting with their parents while Mom or Dad is checking this place out. I can appreciate that.

Doesn't mean I won't have a little fun from time to time...

This is what my dealer sent me:
"Yes you are #3. You will NOT be bumped. I expect two or three allocations for march. That is speculation only. I think that because of my years of experience in Corvette allocations. As soon as I get Camaro brochures I will put one aside for each of the orders. I have 8 now. We will be getting a showroom car, however we will not know when and what configuration. If it comes in before yours I will let you know so you can come take a look at it."

Plus, what happened the othe IDL Sticky thread? It talked about allocations and ordering.

It's, at least right now, the bottom sticky in this Pricing/Ordering forum.

The "5th Gen Camaro Forum General Discussions" has had a bunch of stickys unstuck for some reason. I liked being able to easily check " Who's ordered?! Let's get an actual order count..." to see the total order count by trim lines, but it's no longer a sticky.

Well my dealer consensus is 0, so mine won't be built in March. Hopefully April is my month with may delivery
