I have never seen a service dept. put the rear sticker on a car that didn't have one. If that is the case switch dealers. It is a common occurance for people to request no sticker on the back and it is not an insult to the dealer. They won't mind. Takes two minutes to remove it.

Now, they do practically beg me to give them a 100% review when I get my survey.. I hear them doing that to pretty much everyone in line waiting to pick up their cars.. I even got bribed one time and was told that if I didn't feel I could give them a 100% on the review, then please talk to the Mgr and they'd work out something for me..

Maybe GM is really riding them on service nowadays?
My dealer told me that there allocation depends on the surveys If they don't get 100% they lose allocation slots for the camaro.

It's amazing how harsh the consumer is to the dealerships. We're expected to sell you a car at no profit, give away tons of freebies, kiss your butts, and MAYBE we'll be lucky enough that you won't go to the next dealership and try tun undercut our price.

We are NOT all out to get you, We are NOT all out there to rip you off, and we ARE only here to do the same thing as you do in your careers - feed our families.

If you knew how little salesmen actually made vs how hard they had to work and the hours they put in, you may change your tune - then again you may still hate us. :(

What you can do is ask them to remove the decal and detail the car to remove all chemicals use and re wax the car. Make sure to do this in writing and make sure to state without your permission. Give them about 3 chances to remove it. If they refuse, get it in writing, then you can have another shop remove it and to take them to small claims court for reimbursement for the cost. You will not be able to get them to pay for advertisement and there is no contract or signed agreement for advertising. Even though that is exactly what they are wanting to do. Without an agreement you are unable to get them to pay for it.

If you don't mind the decal they may agree to give a discount on oil changes and may even agree to give free one or ones.

Good luck. Let us know what they do.

At delivery a guy walked up and started to put a plate frame on my car. I asked him if they where gonna give me some money off for advertising for them. The kid said his boss told him to put it on and he had too. I asked him if he ever heard the saying the customer is always right and he said yea and just looked at me. I told him to think for a second and he realized that I was the customer. I took the screwdriver from him and put my plate on. That idiot wasnt goin near my car with a screwdriver.

I got a real nice chrome plated metal license plate frame (with the dealers logo) for the rear, which I promptly removed when I got home.

I just recently took off the dealer sticker from the rear of the car. I left it on for 3 months because of the experience we had while purchasing the car. I felt that it was fair to leave it on for a while to try and get their name out to others in my area.
