How tall are you? I am 6'2" and have an Ss with the sunroof and have no problems at all. I say that you just keep messing with the seat adjustment.

Henderson Racing has a suitable mod, if you'd go this route:

Maybe you should just opt for a Ford F-150 Raptor i'm sure youll have some headroom.

Call me short , but I am 6'5 1/2 (Nike Traning Camp Official) , and I have a camaro with a sunroof and I have no headroom issues...

Either your a troll or just trying to start a huge topic , or you are Shaq.

Torso length is a big consideration in how tall you sit. You might have no headroom issues but need more room for your legs. I'm 6'3 and can't own a 5th Gen with a sunroof. The driving position is too uncomfortable with the seat in gangsta-lean position.

I just accept the gangsta lean I guess ... And so does LeBron James and all the NFL/NBA players 7" that have one...

I think you just didn't want a sunroof ... I can fit in a viper with no issue I own one .. I don't know how you expect to sit but I think your being a little crazy.

I put racing seats in.. not an option for most as there are airbags in the seats. They did drop the height of the seat by 1". I also no longer have a slider bracket under the seat - they are now in a fixed position.

The stock seats are mounted directly to the slider brackets, which mount to the floor support structure. There isn't any room to go down.

Only option is to get rid of the sunroof.

I am waiting to hear back what they are willing to do about that. Thanks for all of the input.
Try to work it out with the dealer. See they can at least split the difference and charge you $500+$200. Then go sit in the new one to make sure all is good.

Even if you have to eat the difference you'll still be making the same payment but you'll be happier in the long run. That rubbing of your hair is going to really bug you for the rest of the time you own the car.

If you're tall you should pass on the sun roof. With the sunroof a Camaro has a very little head room (check the stats and compare it to other cars).

I'm 6'3'' with a long torso. I've got about 1'' clearance above my head when I sit comfortably (seat on the floor). The sunroof cuts over 1'' of head room from the car. So my hair woud definately rub the roof if I had the sunroof.

shave your head or keep playing with the controls. my head rubbed the liner for a few days til I found the right settings, hate when some one plays with the seat adjustments and I have to find the right settings all over again. your not alone!

I agree, shave your head. I am bald and I always tell people... God made a few perfect heads, the rest he put hair on!

I don't do the gangsta lean either, I admit the headliner is close, but I still miss it by a bit.

Man that must be really cool to work as a Nike traIning camp official. What exactly does that have to do with the topic? That's like me saying I have a long torso and I own a successful government contracting firm. I really don't see the association but if you care to enlighten me then please do. Maybe it's just me but that is a self appreciative statement.

Anyways, I did end up going back to the dealer and I traded it in on a 2SS\RS Synergy green WITHOUT the sunroof. It fits me great and all is well. Thanks for the inputs everyone.
