Took delivery yesterday - black on black - pics coming as soon as I can figure out how to post on here. I like the Z28 idea, lol - very good point! They supposedly got me 400 under invoice, after I told them I was going to buy one from another dealer ( I had two dealers competing for my business) - so hopefully got a good deal, the car came with chromies on it, so it was a little more than what I wanted - they are practically begging people to buy the orange and baby blue ones though, but I couldn't bring myself to pick up one of those colors.

Pics from today - near Laguna Beach - rained pretty hard yesterday, so the car isn't quite as clean as I'd like, but it's black, so I guess I had better get used to it. Can't see the rims too well, but they're chrome, this car is definitely "scary" fast. Still breaking it in, will need another 300 miles or so at least before I can really begin to scare the $%#% out myself!

Get the Vette... you can always sell it in a few years and get a Camaro.
The only reason I don't get a Vette now is because they are hard for me to climb out of the car... I have a bad knee. |

Nice choice. You can't beat a black vette. They've got some good deals now and I've even been contemplating a Challenger. If I didn't already own a vette, I would have bought a vette. Mine is an ls2 and I drove an ls3 and let me tell you that the ls3 is a beast.. The ls2 is super fast but there is a noticeable difference between an ls2 and ls3 in the vette. Fortunately my camaro is only 34200, so I won't have the hard choice you had to make.

my dad has a 2007 1lt vette. he loves it, but every time i mention the camaro that will eventually be sitting in my driveway he contemplates trading for a camaro. I think it comes down to what you really want. Do you wan't the performance only a chevrolet will bring but don't have a preference as to what it is? Buy the corvette, you'll love it. After all it is america's sports car. But if you've been dying for a camaro and have to have it, the wait and the possible extra cost will be worth it!

me either I have had 2 Vettes and am too big to fit in them anymore. Camaro is the ride for me! Besides when I am done with my Camaro it will eat the Vette for lunch!

I live in socal, and my family always gets cars through Costco Cars.
Costco has the pre-negotiated rate, and you end up paying a little more than invoice. I know that most people in Socal are costco members, so you might want to try and check that out. |

Corvette screams small penis/midlife crisis/attention whore, wheras, Camaro screams something else totally different.

I bet you will be very surprised to see how many dealers offer 0% on the camaro when the buzz subsides a bit....
I have heard rumors its already starting with the challenger including some additional incentives... |
