Didn't have to press them at all. I simply asked and they said yep.

Now I don't know what they would have done if I never asked.....

Second, IF the dealer fixed this in PDI it would NOT be recoreded as an ACCIDENT. It may be marked on record but itsnt going to diminish the value of the vehicle.

My car had the chipping rear paint on the rear bumper and had to be repainted under warranty... GEEZ I sure hope the dont hold that against me IF i ever try to trade it off... apple to oranges here Hoss...
thats a poor poor comparison Hoss, a accident is different than a ding in transit

Original paint repair appears to make a difference in the evualation of a used car price. This is why records are kept and paint thickness machines are out being used. If you buy a previously damaged new car the buyer needs to be made aware. You want to hide the "ding" and it is OK. Either you have money to burn, or you work for Chevy or the Dealer. I don't think this car was just dinged it could have been dropped in transit, not repaired correctly and now requiring more repairs. How do you strip bolts on a hood and miss align the hood, and leave a unrepaired damage. Canada has quality control!

If you want to keep a damaged newly repaired aprox. $50000 Camaro please feel free to do so. The fact that the dealer didn't have time to hide the repair the damage seem to make no difference to a few of you.

A 50,000 dollar car droped off at dealer like that. Well have to wait till monday to see what owner of dealership is going to do.
Would you have rather they just fixed it before you ever saw it and then they never told you about it? It doesn't sound like the problems are that big of a deal but you are not under an obligation to take the vehicle if you really aren't comfortable with it just have them order you a new one.

Major damage will show up on a carfax report for a car but small things like door dings (which is what this seems to amount to) won't. When I took delivery of my car I noticed the drivers side door panels didn't properly align with the dash panels. The dealer fixed it and it wasn't a big deal.

$55 for a cargo mat and $150 for floor mats is ponderous (especially when all you get are the two front mats). I wonder if they factor in a credit due to the fact that you are not using the RS 20" wheels?
