man times have changed!!!
Why would you buy a $395-$470 "template" instead of having them just taping off some stripes?

Just thinking ahead,to have and to hold. I don't have anything for my 69', just the original keys. This one is going to be done like I wish my parents would have done in 1969. All papers, accesories and so on. I don't know if the stickers will keep but they will be there with the build sheet at Barrett Jackson 2035!

I have a friend who works at the dealership. I'd bet that when the dealer installs stripes they come with a paper backing. He can get me that used paper backing to use as a template to tape off the area to be striped, and it can be modified to fit my changes after that (like extending over the mailslot).

If that's true then who cares who installs it? If I'm not 100% satisfied I'll make them redo it until it's perfect... end of story. Doesn't matter WHO installs it. Only drawback is it might take them awhile....

For those who are perfectionists you are gonna be bummed when you someday have to peel of your $480 stripes and have them painted on anyway to meet your high standards of surface quality, shine and clean edges.
Cheers to that!
All of that!!

You would think.....I gues we can only think, dream, or wish......that first order of business for the dealership owner or manager would be to hire salesmen who are at the very least "fully knowledgable" about the brand being sold ! Caringly the wisest managers or owners would want nothing but a (in this case) Chevy enthusiest meeting and greeting his customers on a daily basis ! I dont get it.......what in the "codeword 4 letters" is wrong! How can an idiot sell you the 2010 Camaro SS you want unless you know everything about it yourself !!! Imagine some poor bloke walking in unknowing the car but heard of it so he wants it ...... well and then......he gets the idiot for his salesman....You and I can imagine the complete slew of garbage that will flow and be signed for !!! Poor bugger ! Oh well , I tell ya no matter what you buy these days you first have to research everything about the product you're buying ! But then again thats the only way to prevent from getting screwed over ! And it's the best way to make sure you get exactly what you want ,,,,,, Nuff said ....... dam it ...... some dealers are just plain IDIOTS ! My dealer has been great by the way !!
