67 Camaro I'd love to sell but I don't think my wife will let me.

92 S10 that I picked up for $500 to haul brush bc the Ram is too damn high and I dont want to beat it all up.
98 Civic DD - I drive 150-200 miles a day so I need this.

Go ahead with the mods. If storage isn't a problem for you, you can always keep the original parts. It doesn't look like you're planning anything major. I would have voted keep it stock if that mod list got any longer though. That's a great looking IROC.

I just thrashed my e46 M3 and was itching to get back on a real track (track with more than 1 turn) I have a 1995 M3 (last of the OBD1 M3) with 80k miles in very nice shape but is an auto. It would take no more than $3k to convert to manual and $2k for suspension. In the end, I just didn't have the heart to do change it. I am looking for a Miata now.
Funny thing is my first auto-x car was a miata. A silver 91. Everyone said it was a bullet proof engine. After I blew it up twice, I parted it out and moved on to a mildly prepped 2000 yellow C5 Corvette M6. That car got old (the color) so I sold it and never got back into it with the replacement 2007 black C6. When the Camaro came out, I sold the C6. Now I have the itch again. Just don't want another car...

actually yes... it comes with a video that walks you through exactly what you need to do... i pulled the valve body out of the trans set up a table in front of a tv in the garage and went step by step... really easy and helpful... and gives you different options, you could leave it auto with harder crisper shifts, or make it act like a manual only using the gear you have it shifted into...

and seeing the other cars... put a step on the dodge and get rid of the s10 problem solved

Yea, my dad bought it when I was 12. Sold it when I was 14. I tracked it down and bought it back from a gentleman in West Virginia.

Sweet, thanks. And the s10 is a throw away. I wouldn't get anything for it. It's beat down. It's worth it to keep bc it fits down the path through my woods!!

jrhaus76, those inside pics are great. I say mod lightly as you first mentioned.

Your '89 looks new compared to my '92

I really appreciate all the advise and help. I've thought about it, taken everyone's input and talked it over with my wife (who is a car buff too) and came to this...

1. Car: it's only worth something to me. So changing the car isn't a huge deal. Anything can be returned to stock. With ghat said, I just had the tranny rebuilt and don't feel like screwing with it again. Also, being original and 22 years old and only drive about 1000 miles a year... It's only a matter of time before more shit starts breaking from the "abuse" of auto-zing.

2. Money: $2000 investment in the car min to get it up to where I feel it would need to be to compete not to mention anything needing upgraded in the tranny. Add the probably $100 each time put for me and the wife plus fuel... Add in any "unexpected" repairs, it gets pricey FAST!

3. Time: with all the stuff we do with events near and far with the 5th gen on top of taking our travel trailer on vacation or going horseback riding... we dint have time to do all that stuff. Who am I trying to kid that I would have time to dedicate to it that would make having a dedicated car worth it.

4. Desire: I've been out of the game since 2004. I think it's just an itch right now. I'd scratch it a few times and be done. I think if I want to "play" I'll take the 2010 and thrash it a bit. Its already ready other than needing new tires.

I really appreciate all the help and kind words about my car.

If it is as nice as it looks in the pic, keep it stock except for the improvements to the brakes and suspension. Go buy a rough one for autocross. Nice car, I had a gen3. An 87 V-8 sport coupe. GM bright red, grey cloth. I really enjoyed that car. It was driven year round.

It's a 20 footer. It does need a fresh coat of paint but other then that, it's pretty nice. The paint is pealing so I had to paint the roof with a rattle can and it doesn't totally match but going down the road you can't tell.

I'm considering driving it more just as is. Tired of it collecting dust. The stick brakes are fine for normal driving. I don't push it hard. It can't come close to the smiley 2010 puts on my face when i push it do I dong even bother!
