dont let people talk you down because you get a v6. if you have a ford that has 210 hp or the challenger that has 250 then you cant tuck your tail and run. shit 305 hp for a v6 is bad ass. their will be plenty of after market parts to blow away the ss just wait and see

Will you guys with the V6's quit thinking you have to defend yourselves please? The V6 is is a technological marvel. Show me another V6 that gets 304 HP and 29 mpg in a 3700 lb car.

Not only that, the car looks hot! V6 Camaros of the past always had some kind of blandness to it when comparing it to it's V8 Camaro brother. Not this one - it's hot!

Thumbs up Your money, your choice!

Look, it's your money, right? Until someone else decides to make your payments for you they have no right to criticize your V6. My '02 Trans Am WS6 came with a factory rating of 325HP - the new Camaro V6 is damned close to that! I've put a bunch of $$ in my car to get rear-wheel horsepower up to 407 and when you start at a relatively low price that a V6 offers, you have more cash to play with later . Enjoy your ride - you'll be sucking the headlamps out of most cars anyway! I myself am trying hard to resist upgrading from my beloved Firebird to a 2010 or 2011 Camaro . . .

Dude, no shame!

I've had 3cyl, 4cyl, 5cyl, 6cyl, and 8cyl...but the 3.6 in the new Camaro is nothing to ever be ashamed of! Just tell people it is a $40K Cadillac engine in a sexy, $25,000 kick-ass Camaro package!!

I'm getting a 6 because I....
A) Don't race, drag, or modify my cars
B) Like paying less for gas
C) Won't really need more than 300 HP anyhooo
D) Have had enough speeding tickets in my lifetime
E) AND think the new Camaro kicks ass, V6 OR V8!!

Thanks bro.
I got a 2LT/RS and now have a production date in hand for 4-13. Now with all the car mag reviews and a fairly close production date I find myself secong guessing myself.
I got the 2LT cause it is cheaper on cost gas and insurance. But I love the old school V8 rumble and bragging rights. This will be my daily driver and I do not plan on raceing it. My current car has like 120 or 140 HP so I know I will be happy. Just for the past 2 days been toying with the idea of upgradeing to the SS with less options but my gut says stick with the 2LT.
I added the intake and exhaust also and am thinking I want to add headers at some point which will give me more HP and a better sound with the cheaper cost mentioned above.
I guess I just grew up when the SS was the shit and orig wanted to order the SS but I have to live and pay my bills also.

when the first preliminary numbers came out I decided against the v6 now that there are better numbers and I find that CTS are gaining good RWHP with just a cat back and a CAI I am starting to rethink it

Yea I read where the test on the CTS showed a gain of like 31HP just by adding these 2 upgrades.

Exactly now take those 2 add a chip and a tune and your bumping that 31 to about 55 hp and the torque will bump prob near the same and all of a sudden your V6 goes from 304/270 to 355/320 helllo 5.9 0-60 becomes 5 flat!

yea I'm not even thinking about headers and weight reduction etc etc in the end you could probably get this car to almost 400/400 Naturally aspirated! Turboing is a whole other demon lol

exactly, I do remember some time ago reading a review that stated the auto tranny in the v6 model was barely rated over the motor output. So in the back of my mind I cant help but wonder would the turbo add on also force a tranny upgrade? But yea I could see it getting up to where the stock SS is now.
