I luckily live in one of the counties in Ohio without inspections & some of the counties around me that do are ending it...they say it's costing more hassle & money than it's making

So blade how long did it take for your status to be ready? Mine is not until 2013 but just curious. I been checking the readiness just to see if it work and I am getting the same exact 2 not ready status as you have before.

is this something you guys are seeing with the trifecta software, or do you have something else that you can see the readiness from?

About 2.5 months.....3 full gas tank fill ups and almost 700 miles.

What kind of update are you looking for? I've had the tune in for quite some time now. Registration isn't due until April 2012. So I'm thinking I'm good to go. Lol.

We still need to see if the EVAP system is ready for real tomorrow when I go in. Right now I have hard time believing anything. The OBD Reader can't be wrong, but this has been such a hassle I don't want to get too happy.

Eventually every state will have this setup. SC and Ohio are the only states I know of that don't have this setup. But SC is talking about bringin it on in 2 years.

So if all this works out tomorrow, lesson learned is that I will never mess with the tune 2 months prior to emmissions expiring. So between March and May every year, I am leaving the tune alone.

Ohio stopped emmission tsting about 6 years ago. Excepy the counties were columbus and cleveland are.

Tell me about it......apparently any tint you put on the car there is a fee in NC. But if you have darker than 35% than it's a police fine. Dumbass state.

Same in FL about to pay tomorrow my 2nd $103 ticket. I have had darker for over 20 years and it never has it been mentioned when pulled over for speeding and Now twice in a year I have been pulled over for this specifically and fined. I guess 5% is just too much and the state needs money. Sucks I guess I have a $103 tax a year to have illegal tint lol.

Now that being said I get the police officer safety angle which is why I roll both windows down immediately being pulled over which is why it has never been a big deal in the past, but now seems to be different. I think it is low coffers in the state budget.
