The plan is to keep this for 2-3 years and then order a Zl1. That's the plan but of course it could change. I can say that I am extremely happy with this one! Thanks for bringing back a real American Icon and doing it right!
Thank you for the kind words spen5151. Dirty D, so far as I show it in my information the T56 is the transmission across the board for the 2012 Camaro. Then again the 2012 Camaro is not yet in production and this information is subject to possible changes. The closer we get to production the more solid this information will become and hopefully we get some updated information as to the true specifications of the vehicle.

It's always best to talk to the dealer and if you are set on getting a 2012 instead, do not let your dealer tell you it's too late. My dealer tried to talk me out of the Boss 302 (I ultimately decided to take what I ordered). He told me it was too late in the process to change my order. Unless the car is already built, it is never too late. If the car is built, then you have to take delivery but talk to your dealer about getting the 2012 upgrades with warranty.
until the papers are signed, you arent obligated to take the vehicle. you would loose your deposit for order most likely though.

So if I read correctly, they are changing the manual transmission on the V6? Does this mean it can be driven without crunching gears?

Hey its my first post on this forum. i went to my Chevrolet dealership yesterday and they said that i wont be able to order a 2011 camaro anymore. So i guess this means that maybe in a couple weeks we will get the full details and be able to put orders in for the 2012's.

Probably in the next few. They start production of 2012's very soon.

WTF? Seriously, does this even make sense?
a bad transmission can make the power displacement to the wheels less, but it cannot reduce the power at the crankshaft of the engine. so either they reduced the power of the engine, or most probably, it sounds like a typo.

either way, T56 FTW.

I bet it is in the rearview mirror. That is pretty common on cars without a large nav screen.

I did not notice tell now ???? that the order guide does not allow a G-80 L/S rear on the auto tranny...did I read it correctly? what is up with that??? Would be my first mod if I get an Auto...may go stick if they fix the tranny issue??

Edit: OK L/S on SS A/T but not on the V-6 A/T...still strange...

Does anyone know if the Online Order Guide will contain prices? If not, where would you see option pricing?
