Hey Ross - I know what you mean....i ordered mine 30/4 from Nicholson and was told oh you should have it by July / August - as soon as they had my cash it was like - um...we hope you get it by the end of the year - to which i responded, well if it's not here by September, i don't care if it doesn't arrive until March next year. But seriously, getting any kind of consistent info from these people is impossible.

If these guy's cannot get you info , give Grizzly Trail a call 780-674-2236 ask for Steve, he seems to be able to get the info .............. If you can order from him anyway ???? Will not hurt to try eh ?? :-)

I've seen posts from people that ordered right around the same time as I did, and they've been getting TPW's. But Nicholson says it doesn't mean we'll get our cars anywhere around the same time. I've honestly read every peice of info I could get my hands on since making my decision, and I still don't understand how anyone is getting their status updates, VIN numbers, etc.

Is my dealer being honest with me? Why have the yanks have been getting their cars since mid-April while the car is a fairy tale around here? I mean, I cant even find one of those so-called "show room V6's, not for sale" to sit in. How can I get these event code updates on my car? In spite of my purchase date, will my price be reflective of what the Canadian dollar is worth?

Step 1: If you don't have your workbench number, get it

Step 2: Go to GMCanada.com and fill out the contact us part, saying you would like info on the 2010 Camaro you ordered. Ask in the email for them to CALL you. When they call, they will need your workbench # and the dealership you ordered from, give them that and they can check your status.

I heard from my dealer that they get their Camaro allocation based on Mustang registrations in the area and also how many Corvettes that dealership sells yearly. So smaller towns or dealers that don't move a lot of vettes will probably be last on the list.

Have some patience man, I got mine on Saturday and it is awesome. And if you think a 5000 deposit is bad, I put down $12000 in the beginning of November, so I know where you are coming from.

And yes, Tammy is my sales gal. She goes to Thomas with my inqueries, I think. But call-backs are hit and miss. I'm not taking shots at her at all. If she doesn't know, she doesn't know. She sold me my Av and gave me a great deal. But the info on my car has not been forthcoming or timely.

For anyone that is interested I spotted a black 2SS in front of Lakewood Chevrolet while driving by in Edmonton (34 ave and 91 st). Not sure if it is sold or not, or what they are charging, but it didn't have a sold sign in the window.

Southgate Chev Olds in Calgary has a silver (I think) 2SS/RS that he is selling for MSRP, he posted the info somewhere around here. The cars have started rolling in pretty steady to CMP, Southgate etc etc....the bigger dealers in Calgary......hell, CMP even grabbed a re-allocated 2SS out of the blue...
If you're not happy, pick up the phone....these cars are out there now.....

well that didnt work. I followed the advice, but gmcanada only called my dealer, so it just went in a circle. nobody I talked to knows what a workbench number is. my dealer called me a little upset that I had gone behind their back to customer service after having already told me "you will be the first to know when we have any info on your order" which doesn't sound like it will be until its picked for build. again, I was reminded that just because I ordered at the same time as someone else, its all about where I was on the allocation list (12th of 13). This allocation is apparently known as a pretty late order, so I won't be getting mine any time soon. Grrr! The only comforting thing I was told was that they've been rolling in a little more frequently than expected. yay.

Still waiting on mine as well. The dealership sent me an email stating that they had a Camaro LS arrive in the showroom. This was at Westgate Chevrolet last week.
