Did the lights come in any packing? Or with a receipt/packing slip? If so, and the receipt/packing slip/etc. says that the lights are pure white, then you would have proof that the lights are legal.

Or if you don't have anything that says it, you could go to a store or order some online and make sure you have proof that the are pure white. Just stick the receipt/packing in the glove box that says they are pure white, and I don't think the cop would care.

The whole parking too close thing I honestly have never heard of that law before, I park so close to the curb some days I ask myself how I didn't curb the tires or wheels.
I hope they weren't too big of tickets.

I would keep them he may have let you go because he realized he was mistaken and did not want to admit it. If you get a ticket fight it but yeah it may cost you but by letting them do that you slowly lose your rights.

I would keep them on, the reason I say this is because I had Green LEDs on the back of my license. I don't do much night driving but my lights are on most of the time, meaning my license lights are on too, so I got pulled over for having the Green ones on, telling me they are completely illegal because they can't read the license (Fl license are white background with green writing). He let me go with a warning because it was day time, I forgot to change them and never get around to do that, and I still haven't gotten anything since then. So just keep them for a while until you get pulled over the 2nd time, prove them wrong and you got nothing to worry about.

In TN, I know it is illegal to have red or blue lights coming off your car anywhere.

Some while led's look blue because there is no such thing as a white led,it is a blue led with a phosphorus coating over it to make it white, some cheap ones have a blue tint from a distance.More than likley he pulled you over to see if you were drunk and used that as the reason.

As for getting pulled over for doing 34 in a 30 - DUH! That's more than 10% above the posted limit. 84 in a 75? Same thing. Drive the speed limit and you won't get pulled over.

When you complain about the police for doing their jobs, it just sound juvenile and ridiculous.

I would suspect that the lack of crime in an affluent suburb has far more to do with the people who live there than over achieving law enforcement.

I knew the speed limit dropped to 25, just wasn't paying attention! Just put new tires on the Mustang and was enjoying the smooth ride! Get a different plate... They LED's do look like they have a blueish tint at night. I actually think it is the blue flouresing (sp?) from the LED. I have the black plates and there is not even hint of blue with the LED's. Never know when that po po pull you over and you just happen to of had a drink or 2..
