I always wave . Hardly ever get waves back from people. Although we have a lot of friendly local members.

The second day I had my car, a red V8 4th gen pulled up beside me, revd his engine and Gave me a nod.

I thought it was the greatest . Some classmates of mine who both own camaros were once driving together . When a Camaro with aftermarket halos gave a flash.

They couldn't wait to tell me

I've never been flipped off after waving. Most of the time folks don't wave back either but hey, there are countless reasons why that may happen. I still love the car!

Is there a reason for assholery?
Thats because there are Camaro/Hot Rod owners and then there are car owners.
The car owners are the A-Holes.

If I see them, I wave. If they wave back, cool. If they don't, meybe they're busy like sometimes I am. If they wave, I try wave or nod. I get more waves from non-Camaro drivers. If they flip me off I flip back. Nobody's flipped me off in the Camaro though.

Some people are car guys (like myself) and some people are car snobs
and some people just don't notice, notice too late to wave back, are in their own little world, scared to take hand off wheel LOL or just plain suk. too many reasons to worry about. I do notice we older folk get more waves in the Mini from other Mini drivers then we do from Camaro people.
Man how often walking down the street, in a store, mall etc and people won't even look you in the eye and aknowlege you. Some see it as threatening?
Imho a product of a fast paced world. Sometimes maybe we just need to slow down. Little things can make a big difference. Rant over

Waving is tough due to window tints/glare, and gazes directed at the actual camaro itself.

C5 owners across the Southeast have been pretty good, I just flash my brights and I almost 100% of the time get a flash back, or a wave/thumbs up. My girlfriend makes fun of me because I get visibly/audibly giddy when I pass another Camaro.

Oh the simple things in life.

I always flash lights or wave, never get a response from anyone where i am at. In no way am i a hater to what others have (the camaro you have is better than the one you don't), but it really gets me when it's a v6 person being all snobby. I tried to compliment you, i'm the sshole here my ride will kill yours i'm giving you props. Yet you choose to be a snob, i don't get it. I get more waves from mustang and challenger owners. the camaro owners in my area with exception of very few are all d-bags.

Seems to me like a lot of the younger guys driving the car think they are too cool to wave etc. Even had a couple of them rev up their engines as they pass me like they are cool with their cat backs or something. The older owners like myself are more chill and appreciate another nice vehicle. Seems like an ego thing to me.
