I went with the K&N simply because it fit within my budget. How's that for an honest answer. Nice deeper growl when getting on it, and my MPGs have increased by at least 2 MPG.

I love my BBK. Whatever brand you choose I second the recommendation for Apex as your provider; they're awesome.

The truth is without a tune you are not going to see much gain. We have only offered our kit (LSR) with a tune, but we are working on an insert so you can run without tuning or add a tune later. The problem is if these cars see much of an increase in airflow they will generally pop a code (Check engine light). If you increase the airflow enough to make much more power you have to increase the fuel or you will have a lean condition. This is why with our kit you have to tune. We increase the size of the mass air housing and the inlet tube combined with a free flowing air filter and we have seen around 40hp, 45ft lbs of torque with a tune. You will feel it. As for offering an insert, you are not going to see any huge gains with the insert. But, if you are going to keep the car and you are worried about tuning and how it will effect the warranty on your car the kit with an insert might be the way to go as later on you can remove it, tune it and see some real performance gains.
