I know it was in jest, the V6 a family car? For a two person family maybe. No way I'm sitting in the back!

You really dont even need the 300 or so ponies the v6 has, but who wants to drive a car with the power of a chevette.
Personally i think the v6 has enough power, considering it has more than most of the v8s i have driven in the past did. Especially in camaros.
But I must admit that I bought the v8 because i like to have that power there when I want it. It does come in handy sometimes.
Anyone with a v6 has nothing to be ashamed about thats for sure. And anyone who knocks them probly has some self esteem issues.

Cuz my lil V6 is and it is surprisingly fast.
Just wondering if the auto felt the same way.
The Wife's LT is actually an Auto tranny. She's not hip to the Manual Transmission. I would bet good money that the manual V6 is a shitload of fun to drive!

To all of those that are posting, thank you for your comments. One thing though I must reiterate....being that her LT is the "family car" does not degrade the car in any way. My approach to the English language was that it is used AS the family car. For 20 years the family car for us with two kids has always been her ride. The LT stock suspension is softer, the A/T is smooth, and it suits my wife fine - she loves it - so we use it. I have no problem using the V6 on long trips and jaunts around town. It's really not a big deal to me. They are both beautiful automobiles and an absolute joy to drive.

Best Regards!

I actually have that skip shift in the 2004 Z06 Corvette as well, and basically I drive "around" it. A little extra RPM on the tach and I am free of it. No big deal for me, I got the gig twice in the 2SS/RS MT only 2 or 3 times since I bought it in July. I haven't gotten the skip shift in my Vette for years, just by driving habit. So I guess I have got to the point where it just doesn't "click" into it anymore for me. I did notice that the "feel" is really close between the Z06 and my 2SS, so much it's easy for me to switch cars and not feel anything really different in the clutch.
