Darkness, man I would be crying outside if I saw my car in that. As far as being totaled, it actually happens quite often.
I would hate to see this happen to me because this car specifically means so much to me and im not sure I would even go through totaling it. If it didnt mean so much to me, I would get a replacement SS but yeah, this sucks. Hope it all works out and keep us posted

I don't know, you would be amazed at how good the PDR (paintless dent repair) guys are. They can work miracles.

You should post up some damage pics. Unless they are HUGE, I bet they can get popped out and nobody will ever know.

Yes, but you'll risk getting knocked out by that size hail!

Never heard such. PDR is the way to go IF the damage isn't too bad.

I agree.

As for totaling...the same night that we had hail here (back in April) one of my friends further west had much larger hail. They had their 2 vettes and one other car in the garage. (OP...what's in your garage!?!?!?!) Their other three cars were outside. All three of those were totaled. One was less than 2 yrs old. They had cracked windshields and sunroofs and such.

if that roof is dented up badly be prepared for BONDO cause even paintless dent removal person isnt gonna touch that to much work and money will be tied up on just the roof alone, or even cut off roof add a new one, i would be wishing for a total loss on car sorry to say.

You have a garage and yet the Camaro wasn't in it?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I highly doubt it'll be totaled. Especially since its strictly cosmetics and nothing internal was damaged. Fenders, Front Bumper, Trunk, etc can easily be replaced.

I am so sorry for you...hope your car gets fixed to your satisfaction...missed the hail where I am on Long Island, but I know other LI areas got hit hard too :(

I saw on the news that cars had windows shattered, people had their glass patio tables broken, and plastic patio tables with baseball sized holes

crazy weather

OMG!!!! I live in southern jersey and last night was ridiculous...I am taking a night class at my local community college to pick up some extra credits over the summer. Last night during class all i could think about was how bad my car was going to be wrecked. The storm was so bad that the power went out about 3 times and a tree fell onto a couple cars in an adjacent parking lot. Luckily the storm had passed when i got outside and my car was not damaged.

It sucks what happened to your car and i hope that insurance covers most if not all of the damages.

That sucks.

Not that I know the circumstances, but why couldnt you put it in the garage? Looking at the other houses, lots of 2 car garages.

I see it alot these days. 30K cars outside 24/7, and the old mattress and a few boxes of xmas lights and a broken bike hog up the garage space. Get rid of the junk and protect your assets.

^^THIS^^ Sorry for your misfortune OP, I couldn't even watch the whole thing.
Don't you have a garage, looked like a pretty nice neighborhood and the other houses had garages and empty driveways. My neighbor has a pool table and all kinds of other stuff in his garage and then worries about hail storms and gets mad when birds dump on his new, shiny black Tundra...
