"damn, sounds good, whats the hp"

i respond, "over 600 at the wheels" (this was a while ago obviously. haha)

to his response... "oh.. so this one has the interceptor motor"

it left me pretty speechless

Guy at the technical control, after having had the papers in his hand for over half an hour, clearly stating it's a "Chevrolet Camaro ZL585":

"What brand is this car? Ford?"

The day I brought it home a heard a kid call it a transformer, but now I get either Camaro or they ask. although I did get into a conversation with a older women who said "It looks like the old corvettes."

Mine has been called a Mustang and a Challenger on the occasion but that's really it. Then you have the envious crowd that yell things like "ugly" or "POS". It doesn't bother me but one day while I was sitting by the car and heard some teen say to his friend "that thing is ugly" I said to him "I would love to see the piece of crap you drive!" and that shut him up on the spot

Not sure if I agree with the guy on page 2 who called a kid "stupid" for asking if it had a "hemi". Depends on how old the kid is. Never good to call the shorties stupid, imo. Coulda taught him a positive lesson instead of demeaning him.

My neighbor knows what it is, she chooses to call it "the limo". She used to call my husbands old ford topaz "the valdez" because of all the oil it leaked.

Teenager at a car show asked her boyfriend what it was and he said "Mustang", and then the girls 11 y/o brother pipes up "No it's NOT a mustang it's a CAMARO".

I was also sitting at a red light once in traffic. I happened to look to my left and, across the two opposite lanes of traffic, there's a little boy (about 5 or 6 years old) standing in a supermarket parking lot next to a minivan where his mom was loading groceries. He's just looking around until his eyes squint at my car for a second and then slowly widen. His jaw drops, he takes a big inhale and yells "BUMBLEBEE!". Before his mom even realizes what just happened, he's already mindlessly walking to the street, into oncoming traffic still yelling. I'm signaling him to go back to the sidewalk while shaking my head "no", but he doesn't even notice the driver. His mom grabs him up from behind and runs him back to the car. I think, because my car is black, he didn't recognize it from transformers......and then suddenly did.

I had someone tell me how sharp the convertible Camaros looked two years ago...
Unfortunately two years ago there were no convertible Camaros on the street so I have no idea what he was referring to....
