Tick TICK TICK TICK TICK!!!!!

I just hung a Hartz 2 in 1 from my rear view and no more ticks.

The thing with this ‘tic’ is that it’s not being treated as a recall, but as a service to customers who are bothered by it and would like it replaced. They are not going as far as advising everyone to come and get it fixed ASAP (I.e Toyota recalls) – this brings me to believe that;

1.) Not a terrible thing to leave it be, other than the noise and
2.) They don’t have to use labor to correct, unless requested. Why do it if it’s not a must?

With that said, I have read postings that people say this noise goes away with time ? Car’s can be funny things sometimes. Too many variables to consider I guess. I can only speak for myself when I say it bothered me, I didn’t want a tick on a new car like that, have never owned one with this noise before so I wanted it fixed and the noise to be gone.

yeSS..i got my car back wednesday 9/7/11 one year to the day from purchase...it was at the shop for 9 days the dealer gave me a copy of the work order and all 16 lifters were replaced along with all the bolts that were removed, gaskets,seals and associated parts.....changed the oil with mobile one..i asked.....i asked about a synthetic blend they have and he said not in the hi performance engines.only mobile one.....replace engine coolant........and topped my tank off with 93 octane non ethynol...the serv.manager called today to do a followup..........the car has set for 2 days i went out and fired her up and.............not the slightest hint of valve train noise.......i called the dealership up and thanked them for taking care of my car.....i run it 70 and 80 mph onthe way home and she run smooth as silk.....im delighted to have it home and...have it fixed.........yeSS

Yes this is a lifter problem !!!
just picked mine up last night after they replaced all the lifters but they have to hear it before they will replace them..but yes that is your problem!!
