Humm! Sorry! Was I thinking out load?
The anti-freeze is just idiotic. Neighbor kid might think it's transformer juice or something. I know a guy who had the same idea, but he didn't tell his wife. They left their dogs' food outside, and a neighborhood cat was coming along and eating it. So this dipstick put antifreeze in the dog dish to kill the cat.
Oh yeah... wifey let the dog out and it went right over and lapped up that antifreeze. Cost them about a thousand dollars in vet bills.

For those who are saying to let the cat drink anti-freeze, I Highly Suggest that YOU TAKE A DRINK OF IT FIRST or let Your Beloved Dog take a Drink First. From what I have hear from Pet Doctors (Vets) and friends, this is a VERY PAINFULL death for any animal, either a cat or a dog. I also suggest that cat owners keep their cats inside the house. By the way I do have cats and they are kept in the house, I do not let them out because they are Siamese purebreds.

I got two dogs but the garage is detached from the house so they can't hear it anyways.

You could try using a carpet runner, the plastic kind with little spikes on the back, and lay that over your car spikes up.
You can also just watch for this cat to come close, and use your key fob to honk at it. That's what I did to my cat, that and/or hosed him down good when he came within 10 feet of the camaro. He did not like getting wet. He has since found other perches.

Sounds good. Didn't even know this existed. I will get one later today and hopefully that would be the end of it.

How about a car cover, or moving one of your projects out of the garage and using it as it's intended. A garage is for parking cars, a workshop is for project cars. Use this as an excuse to expand your garage.

Look I got two cats and two dogs myself. So I do love both cats and dogs. I'm not going to kill it but would just want it to go away. Someone suggested the shock mats earlier and I'll definitely be trying that. Crossing my fingers.

cats do not like cayenne pepper. you can sprinkle it on your car and it won't hurt the paint, or you can sprinkle it around your car. it will definitely help deter cats from getting near your car, though it is a pain in the ass to do every time you park and if anyone sees you doing it they might find you a bit odd!

those scatmats are not extremely effective because you can't cover your entire car with them most likely. so if you put it on your hood, the cats might just skip the hood and get on your roof or trunk, etc.

Put the scatmat in a different spot every day - roof, trunk, hood - after a few times of getting shocked in a different spot, the cat won't know which spot is safe and just avoid it altogether. But, I'm betting the hood is the cat's favorite spot because it's warm.

If you have no problems with it's death, and are sure no innocent dogs in the area, I do believe antifreeze will cure the problem, permanently.

If the cat lovers truly loved their animals, and respected others, those cats would not roam free. In most places, dogs are not allowed to, why cats?

Trust me, it works. Just dont put it around pets you love because it will make em sick but it should do the trick without killing any animals
