The standard rub marks. Actually wore a hole in the outer canvas over the passenger window. There's an entire rant with pictures in the "does your top have rub marks" thread about how the service manager was not willing to believe it was a defect vs consumer error (tried to blame it on a burn hole).

1 top replaced and created a leak like a sieve. Now at a different service department withe a GM case opened. Carpet, seat cushion, and more being replaced. Today is 1 week in the shop.

Don't get me started. Although, the new service department seems to be doing a good job and definately treating me like more of a valued customer than the first service department that told me to take a hike. sheesh.

1: How many of you have top problems? I have had rubbing on my top with bad rub marks right in the middle above my drivers and passenger side windows.

2: How many of you do not have top problems? -------------

3: How many have had their top replaced? Probably will eventually but I really don't want to.

4: How many need to have their top replaced but haven't yet? I have some permanent rub marks that have become indention's on my top.

1: How many of you have top problems? MY TOP HAS THE INDENT MUCH WORSE ON THE RIGHT SIDE THEN ON THE LEFT. IT IS WEARING THROUGH FROM BOTH THE TOP AND THE UNDERSIDE.

2: How many of you do not have top problems?

3: How many have had their top replaced?

4: How many need to have their top replaced but haven't yet? WAITING TO HEAR FROM GM. A LITTLE NERVOUS TO REPLACE THE TOP BASED ON SOME OF THE OTHER POSTS I HAVE READ. IT SEEMS THE TOP REPLACEMENTS ARE ALL OUTSOURCED.

5: What model year do you have? 2011 SS

4: How many need to have their top replaced but haven't yet? Not sure that I will.

5: What model year do you have? Delivered 3/14/2011 2SS/RS.

I talked to the dealer when these issues started. They took pictures and talked to the district rep, then asked me what I wanted to do. I told them I wanted to wait to see the outcome. After all, it is a 5 year warranty.

I would like to to get a feel for what is going on out in the real world.
I am going to compile this data and make a spread sheet out of it and see if we can get some percentage of the owners on here what is going on.

I have a 2012 and my top is getting replaced.

1. I do not have a Top problem yet. I'm watching it very carefully but for now, I show no marks.

2. Vert was born 6/6/11. It is an "every day driver'. I have left the top down for extended periods in the garage and driven with the top down as much as possible.

2011 2ss top replaced last month due to pinch and hole. bad install, wind noise wrinkles and they dont see a problem with it. i just left it there. i'm sick of looking at it.

See thread posted today "Top down speed limit?", top came untucked at 135 MPH

2: How many of you do not have top problems? N/A

3: How many have had their top replaced?

Not yet.

4: How many need to have their top replaced but haven't yet?

Waiting for the definitive fix. Will get it documented when I bring it in to look at top coming unstowed.

I have a 2011 2SS vert. BOD 4/1/2011.

I have just over 1K miles and am starting to show compression/rub marks over the driver and passenger doors between the 1st and 2nd bows (same as everyone else).

I also notice windnoise from the back when top is up and i get above 60MPH. Not terribly loud, but still annoying.

Man I hope GM fixes this...

Same problem with holes, plus others now. Need top replaced a second time. Waiting for a final fix.
