The chart you are holding says Crystal Red Tintcoat (4). The "4" in the notes below state "Interim Availability". What exactly is Interim Availability? I do understand that that Crystal Red Tintcoat and Crystal Red Claret are the SAME color. Both have paint code GBE.

It is. The only reason that I do not care for the Crystal Red is in bright sunlight. It actually only looks dark in the shade or less sunlight...
It is too light for me when the sun is baking down right on top of it. I guess its because of how the metallic lines up. If it were a teeny tiny shade drab darker I probably would buy it. Just too light in the bright sunlight, and too dark in the shade...

I know my Iphone 4 takes crappy pics but these are the actual color chips on the car...
Yall need to go down to your dealer and grab one of these charts...
That way you can see the color side by side...
The only caution I can give is this. If you find the color you want from the chart... MAKE SURE you see it on a CAR before you order a camaro...
I have spent hours and hours walking back between parked new camaros trying to decide! They ALL are just that NICE!
The brightest color by far though is VR. And I am staying with VR.
The IOM while very nice in the bright sunlight when the metallic is shining is stunning....BUT..... in the dark shade...the orange turns almost from an orange to a darker brown..... it don't look orange anymore!
Kinda cool but I want my car to be the same color all the way around it on the brightest of days, and the darkest of days.....

I agree with you here. When looking at a Vette with the new claret, I would describe it as a candy-apple/fire engine red.

Not as dark as a real candy red, but super rich. Best red ever for Camaro, IMO.

Nope. #4 is Only Color available for 45th anniversary package. Included and only available with 45th anniversary package.

Sorry, you are correct. Next to Crystal Red Tintcoat is (5) not (4). And like you said, Footnote # 5 - Interim Availability, Additional cost, not available on LS. So what does Interim availability mean for the Crystal Red Tintcoat color?

Does anyone like the IBM color with the black rims?? This is my route but now I dont know. I dont care for red nor orange... I have black now but I dont think i want a black car with black rims and a black hood insert.

Seeing Crystal Red Tintcoat on that list officially made my day. Seeing it in the sunlight was just a bonus. Gorgeous looking color! Can't wait to see a ZL1 in it!
